Default Need Expert Feedback: Targeting English-Speaking Germans – SEO & Structure Advice?

Hey everyone, hope youre all doing well!

I recently launched https://www.degamblers.com/en-DE , built with Next.js and Strapi, and I’d love to get your expert opinions on a few things. My goal is to target English-speaking players in Germany using hreflang en-DE, but I’m unsure if this is the best approach.

A few key areas where I’d love your insights:
    1. SEO & Indexing Issues - Google is indexing my pages very slowly. I requested indexing 10 days ago, but google indexes the pages very slowly.
    2. Website Structure - What do you think about the casino list layout? Does it make sense for users and search engines?
    3. General SEO Improvements - What should I focus on to drive traffic as soon as possible?

Looking forward to your thoughts, really appreciate any advice you can share!

Business must be good with that office address!
And a land line phone number from a restaurant in the footer? ... interesting!
    ---
The site ... what expats in Germany you target? From Nigeria, USA, Vietnam?
As all of them have such different needs, its almost impossible to serve them with such thin site.
Plus: your choosen casinos ... i wouldn't touch them.

i don understand your /en-DE approach ... if you target english serps in Germany with the complete site. Just put site wide the language tag, personaly i hate website who start in a subfolder.

With regards to your indexing question: Your content is thin, often wrong and 100% AI writen.
Domain has been registered 12 days ago. You can feel lucky, that you got some pages in the serps at already.

Thank you a lot! I really appreciate your feedback.
I've already changed the phone number.
I wanted to target Germans who search in English .
I started with /en-DE/ because I thought I might add new locales in the future.
    Thanks again for your insights!

Indexing is likely slow because the content isn't strong/deep enough and the coverage of the topic isn't broad enough.

If you mean the casino list layout (scrolling) on the home page, personally I'd say it's not offensive but doesn't look particularly enticing. Probably you're focusing on this too early, the list is there, the intent is there, but it's unlikely anyone will land on the home page anyway. You can adapt, improve it later.

"What should I focus on to drive traffic as soon as possible?" A. Content improvement and topical coverage.

" As soon as possible" implies you think that getting traffic (in any meaningful numbers) is achievable in the short to medium term. Be prepared to accept this is highly unlikely to be the case. You are nowhere near the breadth and depth of coverage needed and, even if you were, it can still take a long time to get any worthwhile traction.

I didn't look, but assuming Eenzoo is correct and you do have some pages indexed, that will likely just be down to freshness factors. Watch out for those pages dropping or disappearing from the index once search engines realize there's no depth (or accuracy, if inaccurate).

If you don't 'fix' those quickly, and they do get dropped, it'll be hard to recover and be competitive.

Good points from Eenzoo on the wants/needs of varying EN targets.

    Hey man.

I think in most cases Google automatically will translate some search inputs. From German to English.. and the other way around
