Default The Net Neutrality Threat to Online Gaming: APCW Perspectives for 1 December, 2017

The Federal Trade Commission (FCC) in America is
poised to kill Net Neutrality within two weeks.
What would that decision mean for online gambling
    and the Internet in general?

Also, the U.K. Gambling Commission is teaming with the
Advertising Standards Authority, and the results
    are getting sort of stupid.

President Trump made a big blunder with installing Ajit Pai as FCC chairman.
And establishment mole Ted Cruz doubles down and compares the net neutrality with Obamacare.

Pai says, his children are being harassed over his net neutrality [lunacy].
    Poor children.
    Really.
Unfortunately, to be expected after their father treats 325,000,000 Americans like a child.
Not only Pai is an idiot.
There are enough other mental instable people who want to catalyze their anger at innocent family members.

Do not forget, that any Internet service provider would be required to publicly disclose their practice and would face fierce consumer backlash. So they will think twice before slipping into China's shoes and censoring websites.

as Always J Love your work Educational as always Excuse my Ignorance here and i do appreciate the feedback ill get ? is the Biggest Issue the fact that If this is passed or when it is , that the ISP will be given power to increase and decrease the speed a website can operate on hence effecting the performance of certain sites like Casinos ? But it will have no effect on the amount of traffic a site can get ? I would just like to Better understand Net Neutrality and how it effects affiliates ? Sorry if that is a silly question but i want to learn

Look how Governments usually handle or deal with matters. Especially those they have next to no experience with. The UIGEA is a perfect example, so too is the AU GIA. Laws made by the clueless, influenced by the blind

My understanding is that it would not so much be the casino as it would the players who try to access the site. If the casino wasn't considered a major website, and players did not pay extra for the higher (more expensive) level of service, then yes... I think it could hurt traffic. Also, it would open the door to block those websites the ISP deemed "off limits" or illegal... and online gambling sites would be near the top of that list of candidates.

My biggest concern is that affiliate sites (especially smaller affiliates) would see a dramatic drop in traffic and a slower user experience for those who visited their sites.

The bottom line is that there is nothing wrong with the web from a consumer perspective. Plus, there is a "neutral" playing field for affiliates. You have the ability to build a site and work hard to compete with anyone. I believe an end of net neutrality could see search engines become a very expensive form of PPC networks.

    +++ UPDATE +++

Swamp mole Ajit Pai mutates into a serial liar and fires as last bullet the compassion card. The obviously mentally unstable FCC boss now claims, net neutrality harms the sick and the disabled, what is proven wrong.

Write him a love letter at Ajit.Pai@fcc.gov and tell him, what you want, e.g. that it's hard to find one guy in America who would not fire him, and if he continues, he very quick is on the same reputation level as breast groper Al Franken.

Government controlled anything sucks,, really. Regulations slow progress and raise costs and I don't see any negatives really. Nobody really believes the providers want to **** off customers right?
