    Default The Netherlands to regulate online gambling in 2013

    The prime minister of The Netherlands has announced he plans to regulate online gambling and tax the industry at a rate of 29% of operator profits.

    I think the gaming regulation will be implemented very fast as it’s a great way for a government to get some extra cash.

    Well as long as it is done properly and markets aren't separated and closed to in country only I think it is ok.

    Legislation is inevitable. Politicians are seeing too much money left untaxed. They want their share of the pie.

    that's right. for as long as its done in a very fair way, thats alright.

    The Dutch market is a good one. That said I think a tax rate of 29% on profits is still a bit steep.

    Tax rate overhere currently is 21% (was 19%).
