New AM at Ladbrokes, withholding CPA payments

Just a word of warning to all on here that Ladbrokes have a new AM, who is not honouring CPA deals.

We've had a long-standing great relationship with Entain/Ladbrokes and have consistently sent them a good number of players each month with a high average player value. However, this all ended when individual took over as our AM in July.

Initially things looked to be okay as he introduced himself over skype and we set up a call to discuss budgets for July (important as we were already a few days into the month), however, just before our call was due to happen he cancelled and said "I can't make the call later as something's come up. I've had a look at the budgets, for the QPs already acquired we will honour the CPA but anything brought in from today onwards will have to be revshare. I'll confirm this via email as well".

Obviously we were annoyed by this as we were given no prior warning to our CPAs being cut and up until that point were under the impression Ladbrokes were happy with our deal as it's a "win win" for both parties. We also felt to change our deal at such short notice and in the middle of the Euros was a real kick in the teeth for an affiliate that has prioritised promoting Ladbrokes for a long time now.

That said, we waited for him to "confirm this via email as well" as he had stated he would, before we took the action of removing them from our site. However this email confirmation never came despite us questioning the decision on a number of occasions, so we kept promoting Ladbrokes for the rest of July (after all, why would we remove a brand that converts well until we get the email confirmation that the deal is changing?).

Come the end of July we could see on the reports that we were due payment for 60 QPs but when it came to making a withdrawal our withdrawal amount was £1500 short. When querying this with him and asking why we had never recieved his promised email confirmation his reply was "I'd have to check my emails, but I confirmed on here".

This seems to be case closed as far as Entain are concerned, so our only recourse is to come here and warn others. Poor poor aff management.

Yeah I see the issue here, the issue being GVC "Oh sorry "Entain" (as they now like to be called in some vain attempt at hiding their dirty past) Well this is just what they do. They like to thieve from their partners ( it's just business guys ). But yes sadly but surely they will thieve off everyone. But hey, as long as they have affiliates who constantly go running back to them, along with the likes of Sky Vegas and the rest, what do they have to lose?

The only thing I am shocked about here (and I am very serious) is the fact that you were getting paid anything by Ladbrokes.

I look forward to meeting anyone at the LAC next year, the conference that has turned into a serious joke because all big aff programs these days just go all out to thieve. I am looking forward to the afterparty being held at MacDonald's because of the lack of interest, or the biggest sponsor being some two day old white label casino.

I'm sorry this rubbish happened to you and thank you for warning us. It's no surprise, these rogues have a lengthy history of treating their partners with condescension for years. I don't see any way that they'll just suddenly want to honour even cpa deals with you or anyone else.

Sounds like Entain has decided your traffic is low value - if the players were delivering good ROI I'm sure they would prefer a CPA to revshare right? Not defending them here because they own that player for life and ultimately the burdon of extracting value lies with them - but seems to be the case. Maybe you could ask them to meet you in the middle and live with a hybrid?

Just stop dealing with Entain (formerly called GVC). They are crooks. They don't pay lifetime rev share anymore. They have already stolen millions of players by retrospective changes, detagging older players. The most profitable thing you can do for yourself is stop promoting any of their brands right now. It will also save an awful lot of stress going forward - dealing with crooks will never end happily. There are loads of threads on this forum about how corrupt they are. Anyone who actively promotes them, already knowing their recent history, deserves to get ripped off.

I am afraid people doing CPA do not care whether someone is crook or not.

They are either stupid, because they throw away value, so they do not have idea that dealing with crooks is bad business long term. Or they know they deal with crooks. Or they are crooks with non-valuable traffic.

This is not meant as offense against OP. Entain fully deserves millions of bonus hunters.
