    Hello everyone,

I have received this update email from them today
    "
    Dear Affiliate,

Your account is currently suspended because you did not reply in time to the bet365 Affiliate Policy email that we sent to you on 5 October 2017.

As such, you still have not supplied us with a complete list of your website(s) and marketing channels. This was an important request within our initial Policy email so that we could work together to ensure that the bet365 brand is marketed in a compliant manner.

As a responsible operator, we must ensure that we can work compliantly with all affiliate partners.

Accordingly, we require you to respond by the 5th January 2018 with the following:

    - Formal confirmation that you accept and will adhere to the attached Policy
    - Formal confirmation of your website(s) and marketing channels currently being used to promote bet365.

If we do not receive an adequate response from you by this deadline, we will have no option but to terminate our affiliate marketing relationship with you.

Thanks in advance for you cooperation.
    "

The attached document is the same update that was sent on the 5th October.

Anyway it's a sad situation, there was a time .. maybe ten fifteen years ago when affiliates would rally round to stop this kind of behaviour with a union style boycott, guess not so much these days.

    Hello,

This is a true proof of increasing scams. And the worst thing is that affiliates get used to scams... This will give harm to the affiliate business globally...

While I understand your point, you can't really expect people to boycott while the majority are still getting paid thousands. This is my job, if I were to boycott Bet 365 my bank account would suffer heavily. I don't see it as a big shock that Bet 365 aren't accepting new affiliates and are cancelling stale dead accounts that generate nothing, Infact its understandable the problem I see is that Bet 365 are ultimately throwing their weight around and threatening account closure to everyone despite the "30% for life" terms many of us joined under. Are they offering you a pay off or anything?

Not offering anything no, not even communicating - as this thread demonstrates.

It just seems there's been such a big power shift, no company would dare pull a stunt like this in the past, they'd know word would get around and links would be removed, the traffic sent elsewhere (so no effect on existing player base / residual income).

Do not get me wrong but it is easier for a person to criticize a complaining affiliate when she/he is not in a problem. But one day, you may face the same situation then will you still show the same approach?

Whatever the reason is it is not acceptable to make a miscommunication with the affiliates. bet365 will pay for it in time. We will all see this for sure.

I'm definitely not criticizing him at all, I was giving my opinion on the topic at hand. I wanted to understand his situation to try and predict the route Bet365 were going down and why they were closing accounts.

    "Dear Affiliate,

Your account is currently suspended because you did not reply in time to the bet365 Affiliate Policy email that we sent to you on 5 October 2017.

As a responsible operator, we must ensure that we can work compliantly with all affiliate partners.

To ensure such compliance, we feel that it is necessary to reduce the number of affiliate partners that we have.

It is with deep regret that we are therefore sending you this email as notice of the termination of our affiliate marketing relationship with you with immediate effect. Accordingly, we require you to immediately remove all bet365 promotion and confirm to us when this has been completed.

We apologise for any dissatisfaction in advance and want to be clear that our decision is simply to ensure that we can continue to meet our legal and regulatory obligations in a focused and streamlined way.

If or when we are in a position to enable you to promote bet365 again in the future, we will of course be in touch and would hope that at that time you would be willing to work with us again.

If you believe that there are mitigating circumstances to explain your initial lack of response, please let us know and we will of course consider your reasoning.

Thanks in advance for you cooperation.

    Kind regards,

    The bet365 Team"
Yes, I received the same email and I'm confused. No information where I violated rules, no information how I can withdraw money from my affiliate account. Ok, it's not much money left there, maybe 1k or so, but it's not a good idea to steal my money, bet365!

If they owe you that much they absolutely should be paying you. Don't let it lie!

Seems like most accounts might not be opened for promotion afterall but just for withdrawal. That is if you can keep clicks off old links that may be lingering around the net.

It means that they are sending e-mails to accept the terms and codings and I believe that it will return to normal.

They stop cooperation, simply because they have a lot of affiliates. Even after meeting all the requirements. And there is a warning if they will continue to pay after you took the materials from their sites. If you have somewhere a click on them from old resources, some kind of social network, etc., then there is fear that they will not pay.

But the issue is not only with the newcomers but also with the existing customers.

We all hope so! Otherwise, not only bet35 affiliates but also other affiliate programs will be affected negatively due to overall trust in affiliate programs. Because bet365 is one of the oldest and most reliable programs in the internet.
