    hi
i am all new to this forum subject. i have noticed two things i dont understand comletly
    1. when someone write his/hers email they write for example: domain(at)google.com and not the email itself. can someone explain that to me? cause i wrote my mail with @ , is it a problem with google?
    2. why cant i send pm? if i want to talk with someone privately how can i do it otherwise?

will be happy to have an answer

    cheers

never use the @ in public for your email address, just invites spammers

Its choice really, some people use PM some prefer email, no real reason that i can think of

Yes it's most certainly a spam thing.

Spambots, (robots that scour the internet lookingfor email addresses) hit this site as well as the millions of other sites out there and it's a proven fact that after a few years an email account that just sits on an indexed page will reach a point of thousands (or more) spam emails a month....without doing a thing.

    Welcome to GPWA Diana!

The guys are right, you will be spammed endlessly if you use your full email address when posting, so best to keep it to the chopped up version that can't automatically be grabbed and used.

With regards to PMs, if you mean that you can't use the PM function as in technically then just drop a post and say you need some help with it and one of the GPWA guys will you help out.

If you mean how do you go about PM'ing someone to talk to them about business related stuff - my advice would be just to ask.

So if you see someone participating in a thread and you'd like to get in touch with them but you're not sure if they would be receptive to a direct PM - I would say just ask if they mind you sending them a PM

There's plenty of helpful folks here so feel free to ask anything and there will always be someone who can help
