I have 10 sites in the promotion, and all of them have dropped their positions in the search. Google has been behaving inadequately lately.
also noticed a lot of new sites magically appearing on page 1 in google on big keywords. lots of .casino and .online domains which came from nowhere and suddenly have hundreds of high DA backlinks... also some other sites rank well that seem to be from big companies (mostly promote same casino, all same layout in different languages).
highly frustrating that all those obvious paid linkbuilding sites always do good in search results while everybody says this never works or its never long term... well in reality i always see the same sites getting cloned over and over again and they always seem to succeed at least partly.
But ok thats how the world works...and people always find new tricks to trick google.
but all in all, 80% always seem to be the same quality sites in ranking...at least when it comes to the top 5 positions..after that number things can change often it seems.
I noticed google update negative affect on my website. I was getting daily 6-7k organic traffic on my website. after that update its coming 4-5k daily. hope this will be fine soon.
6-7k in daily organic traffic would make you one of the largest affiliates on GPWA.Quote:

3 of my sites increased starting the first week of April. None of my sites have paid backlinks so that was not a factor.
Google has a new update since yesterday that affects product reviews and even service reviews. It's expected to take 2 weeks for the full rollout. So any movement that you might see, negative or positive could be a dance from the rolling itself rather than anything else.
End of April would be where you should see the more permanent placement changes.
Whatever they are playing at lately, there's a serious over-compensation for media websites. Any recognised media site that writes a page with any old 200-word junk article that's stuffed with a few keywords can hit #1 at present.

Google undoubtedly used to be better in the years past. I haven't seen any increases yet from the latest Google update. It will probably just take some time before it starts rolling out more and taking effect. Just have to wait and see.

I think I will wait to do any major updates on my sites until after the May update. Last time Google had a major update I had just finished fixing several things and it was hard to tell how much the change was from what I did and the update.
Exactly, I see it as well. Sites with almost no link profile, few pages, horrible content quality, even scraped sites are appearing on top positions for most searched keywords. Hope google will get rid of them soon!Quote:
