The GPWA has had a private link exchange forum for many years, and most of the link exchange activity on the GPWA takes place in that forum. There is also a forum for private members devoted to paid link exchanges. One of the benefits of private membership in the GPWA is the ability to engage in link exchanges behind the scenes with other webmasters that are also GPWA private members.
However, recently, there have been many posts in the public areas of the GPWA website by folks that are not private members about link exchanges. These posts were most often made in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) forum. Sheriff "Quickfire" Anthony has advocated for a place to collect these posts together so that the SEO forum can be focused on actual SEO advice. So, a couple weeks ago he started a poll on the topic here: Should a public links section be added?.
Based on the outcome of that poll we have created a new Link Exchange forum available to everyone who participates in the GPWA forums. The forum is a subforum shown underneath the SEO forum. Anthony has also moved many of the link exchange posts previously contained in the SEO forum into the new Link Exchange forum, so it already contains nearly 100 threads.
You can see the new forum here: Link Exchange.
We have some ground rules for the new forum. Posters must abide by these rules:
1. The site(s) from which links will be provided must be identified in the post.
2. The site(s) must be relevant sites for gaming webmasters.
3. The nature and requirements for the link exchange must be specified.
4. Multiple redundant posts are not permitted. When they are made the redundant post will either be deleted or will be moved into the original thread.
5. Posts will be moderated and posts that do not conform to these rules will not be tolerated and will be deleted.
