Default New York State Senate considering online gambling

Looks like New York is starting to think about online gambling as a possible revenue source.

State Senate co-leaders Jeff Klein and Dean Skelos inserted language into their budget that would allow for online games.

They tucked language into their budget stating: "The Senate supports authorizing and regulating internet gaming for games of skill, including poker, to reflect recent changes in the classification of these games."

So it looks like it will be poker only. Guess it's better than nothing.

New York itself played a role in the shutdown of the major offshore gambling sites operating in the U.S in 2011.

Hopefully this will see the continued thawing process and we can all then offer to the US citizens the choice as to whether they wish to play online or not.

The revenue will draw them back when the management is controllable. But the only thing is that the progress still looks too slow.

Cuomo won't sign any legalization of online gambling... So you might as well forget it now, at least till Cuomo is no longer Governor and Bloomburg is no longer mayor.

FYI - Bloomburg and Cuomo both wanted the justice Dept. to prosecute to the full extent of the law ALL the Players that were caught up in the Black Friday seizures.. Think about it, these ass hats wanted to go after players... and now you think they are going to go along with legalization.
    Not a chance, IMO.

Added - Very recently there are also increased problems getting players and affys paid in New York as Cuomo and Bloomburg put pressure on the NY Banks and the NY Attorney General to block the transfer of funds to and from players based on NY law.
