Nolan Dalla writes op-ed on poker legalization
Nolan Dalla is the media director for the World Series of Poker. If you follow the WSOP at all, he's the one who writes the press releases after every event. He has also written a number of books on poker, including a well-reviewed novel on Stu Ungar. Dalla occasionally writes for Poker News Daily, and today posted why he believed online legalization failed in the United States.
The article runs long, and is well worth your time. It can be found here:

Two options, to or not to legalize poker. Get yourself counted, no excuses whatsoever. The option with greater heads count wins. How I wish decision making is this simple to have this thing keep going..

The problem with regards to legalizing gambling online in the US is maybe because of the protection they want to give for the American citizen from being addicted to gambling. As online gambling can lure players with the bonuses and freebies offered that can get them addicted with it. Although the revenue here can be quite big, there are still factors that many groups are considering. Let's just hope that it will brings good result.

Perhaps another reason why online gambling legalization was declined in the US is because of the fact that when online gambling become legalized, number of money laundering cases in their government would probably increase. One proof for this is the money that was accepted by one of their senate member from the online gambling operators which he uses to fund for his election campaign and as an exchange, he is now taking all the risk in pushing online gambling legalization.
