Default Now it's GENTING closing accounts and STEALING REVENUE

Received this just now from Genting. FWIW, the account has quite a few referrals, some of which still play.

    "Dear Affiliate,

    Notice & Confirmation

We write further to our communications of:
    (i) Feb 2018 (Introduction of New Affiliate Terms and Conditions applicable to all Affiliates) and
(ii) March 2018 (Notice on your Affiliate engagement found below), sent to the contact details you have advised on sign-up (or since).

We can confirm that any interim arrangements advised and applicable at the time of that notice will cease with effect from the 1 April 2019. From that date your account will be de-activated from our Affiliate management system and no further referrals will be paid. In light of that we would expect that if not already done, all Genting (or GentingBet) banners, links, content or logos will be removed from your site(s) prior to that date.

Whilst we appreciate that this might be disappointing news, we think its best overall that we each target our efforts where they might best achieve results.

We would sincerely like to thank you for working with us and do not rule out working together again at future date if we are at capacity to do so.

Should you have any specific queries on receipt of this email feel free to contact affiliates@gentinguk.com.

    Kind Regards

    The Genting Affiliate Team"

    My reply:

We will of course NOT be removing any materials. Rather, we shall be blacklisting Genting publicly for this breach of contract and theft - and including a 'player danger alert' warning to our entire database of subscribers in our next email to cease their activity at Genting. We'll also be running a news story confirming the removal of your now-rogue brand.

    Goodbye and back luck, thieves.

    Rob

How cruel of them. They haven't actually stated any valid reason(s) or explanation in their letter for doing this to you.

Yeah got this as well. Although I don't promote them and never really have, so doubt I'm losing much...

I've already plastered warnings all over the place that Genting are thieving rogues. I didn't make much money with them, but I will sure as hell cost them some money now.

I got the same email. However, that is no surprise as I told them a few years back that I had dropped them due to none payment. They are a terrible affiliate company to work with.

Sadly, It's kind of a trend now... IMHO it results from:
    - market regulations and closures
    - fierce competition on the market and big drop in revenues
    - lack of control over the content on the websites and fear of huge penalties from Gambling bodies, esp. UKGC
    - igaming market is shrinking

Besides screwing their affiliates it seems to be a goal to drive them up to the wall, seeing the way they communicate this.

I do agree it's a trend. The times of growing and growing without any supervision are gone. And in times of cost reduction, the one-man-band that takes 30% or more of the NGR of a player and does have a very one-sided t&c is the first one.
