Default NPR's Linda Holmes addresses why we hate web redesigns

Buzzy has always been confused when online casinos send out PRs bragging about their latest redesign. Buzzy hates change, especially when it comes to web designs. Linda Holmes at NPR sums up Buzzy's feelings perfectly.

I stumble through many, many sites every day. I have routines; I hit buttons in a certain order; I know where everything is. Even if your site navigation requires me to click three times to get to what I want, once I learn where those clicks are, I can do them one-handed with my eyes closed. (And if it's early enough and it's before coffee, I just might do it.)
So when the GPWA recently updated to the latest version of forum software, Buzzy was a bit grouchy about it -- just ask vinism. He's getting use to it, though, just like Linda Holmes says she does over time in her column.

What's your general thoughts on web redesigns? Love them or hate them?

    Hi TheBuzz,

While it is a natural tendency for humans to seek the familiar and to resist changes, usually changes occur in order to evolve/progress further, implement the latest technological features and in general move forward.

This occurs in all aspects of life if you think about it, not only online.

We would be still having the same structure of websites that we had in the 90's if progress wasn't made and with the same limited technology we had back then.

So i guess, change is good in my books

Saying that, we just redesigned our website and believe me when i say that only good things have come out of that

    Kind Regards
It is the nature of the wise to resist pleasures, but the foolish to be a slave to them
