you can literally publish 250k words without getting 100 impressions in google without a problem.
don't wast your time because of the "content is king" myth.
People told me I just ignored them because figure it was worth trying, wasn't doing much else.
Will focus on more of that seo stuff later on.
Most people don't even click around the articles, some I'm just making my home page a better landing page with more of the casino links there. For what I'm doing right now, seems most of those articles was a waste of time, hopefully in the future maybe not, but that's ok for now.

I got 5 sign ups and 1 FTD in the past 24 hours from driving traffic outside of the site, so going to keep doing what I'm doing for that. SEO can be a long term goal, short term not gonna worry about it. Back in my younger years I did a lot of affiliate marketing just driving traffic to affiliate offers with my raw links without ever using my own site, though for this, a portal with a variety of options works much better. I'm thinking of doing streaming down the line. Some streamers make great money with just their referral code for one site, I think they are missing out on bigger money, if I stream I'm making shirts with my portal site and promoing that rather than a specific casino. I think streamers leaving money on the table not catering to different geos and different features by providing options. Plus don't want eggs all in one basket either. SEO seems so saturated, every got dang search term beat to death, I'm sure it can work with enough time and effort, though there's low hanging fruit outside of SEO.

I'm consuming more SEO content but need to put that in action. Has been a slow month but think I need to do more planning instead.

Reflecting on October, it went as planned. Super crazy busy, showing great growth and getting ready to launch exciting things. Everything lining up for 2024. The remaining of the year will continue to busy and fingers crossed even better.

    $9,281.95

    Signups: 76
    FTDs: 30

    Same goal for November!

My goal for November is to lower the ranking from the first page of google to the second or third page. I have no idea how to do this so as not to damage the site either. My site is doing much better when it is on the 2-3rd page of google than it is on the high positions on the first page.

So far I've been doing this to be higher, however higher position equals more clicks which means a lot less registrations, strange but so it is. So it might be an interesting experience.

External links are one of the factors that Google takes into account when ranking sites. Maybe remove or redirect external links?

Don't think I really need to say this...but that would very likely not be a good way to try and drop yourself in rankings in a controlled manner. It's just not that controllable. Building some links to those just below very carefully and slowly might be a considered approach, with the risk being the SE suddenly doesn't like something else you're doing and decides to drop you more positions than you wanted.

I'd say in reality it's not an achievable thing to engineer. I'd be trying to work out why you're not converting in the high position and focus on that, Danny.

This is probably a slight momentary frustration, I certainly will not try to lower the rankings, it would not be very reasonable. I think it would be possible to destroy the site.

do people actually type in onlinesportsbettinginuk.co.uk (or .com)? Really? Sorry, I can't believe it It doesn't mean that I don't believe you, I can't believe it is actually happening.

I find your business model brilliant, but I can't believe people will type such a long phrase, AND then the extension. Because otherwise it will convert into a google search.

And I am buying servers, writing code all day long and pray for more google traffic... I must be in the wrong area of the biz

Best of luck with your strategy, it sounds really good!

My goal is to get back to a positive balance, gain most of the lost google traffic (it's slowly happening) and find a better solution for Google Analytics 4.

I once tried such a strategy. I had domains like bet.hockey handicap.bet and some others, I just redirected them, for a test....
Sometimes someone entered, however, I don't know if it was human traffic I didn't verify it. There were domains with more traffic as well as less. However, it did not end up with a single registration. I suspect that a small percentage was human traffic.
Besides, few people probably type in an address with a dot so casually.

In the end I concluded that it leads to nothing and has nothing to do with building a valuable authoritative site.

Of course, that doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Well, no, a name like onlinesportsbettinginuk.co.uk would not likely perform well – too many keywords and it's a .co.uk extension.

Domain names like betting(.)ag, onlinesportsbetting(.)ag, bettingonline(.)ag, onlinebetting(.)ag, poker(.)ag, onlinepoker(.)ag, onlinegambling(.)ag, soccer(.)bet, etc. are the types of domain names that generate type-in traffic that converts into FTDs, revenues, and commissions for me. Yes, it's actually happening.

Really, it's been happening since 1995 when the Netscape browser was released – long before Google even existed. These days, most consumers use Google.com of course; but, typing in a domain name into the browser window instead of searching at Google.com remains a force of habit for many consumers. In the digital marketing world, this consumer behavior is known as "direct navigation".

Many consumers type in the keyword(s) and extension into their browser window because: 1) they are simply curious to see what's at the site at that address; 2) they are confused and are typing in the wrong keywords and/or extension to get to a site they already know but cannot recall exactly; and 3) they want to bypass Google SERPs completely because the SERPs can often be confusing or overwhelming with too many choices ("analysis paralysis").

My whole strategy is to transcend the Google SERPs game. Gambling keywords are too competitive. There's too many gambling review sites that have been around forever that will always outrank any new gambling review site that I might publish; so, why even invest all the time, energy, and money to try to compete? And, Google is too fickle – future algorithm updates could crush all my hard work anyway.

Plus, I no longer know how to code. When I was a coder in my teenage years and my 20s (80s & early 90s), I was coding BASIC, Fortran, COBOL, Turbo Pascal, LISP, and at the end of my programming days, C. This was before C++ and object oriented programming. So, a good part of my strategy stems from my own ignorance, indifference, and innate laziness. Buying domain names and testing their traffic for conversions at gambling landing pages is much, much more suitable to my temperament and abilities at age 50+.

Yeah, you have to buy and test the right domain names.

Typically, such domain names need to contain the keywords that get the highest search volumes at Google Keyword Planner.

You have to avoid famous trademarks like NFL, NBA, DraftKings, MLB, etc. because that would be "cybersquatting" – the trademark owners' lawyers could come after you and have the domain name transferred to them (rightfully so, really).

But, generic dictionary words are fair game – betting, online betting, betting online, online gambling, poker, blackjack, slots, etc. – all high-volume, generic dictionary search terms at Google. Slap the right extensions on the end and you've got a domain name that could have enough type-in traffic from qualified gamblers to make the $10 to $90 annual investment worth it. If not, you simply take a loss by dropping the domain name at its next expiration date.

No websites; only domain names with qualified type-in traffic. Yes, forwarding means a 301 redirect.

OnlineBet .com (just the domain name) could be forwarded to a gambling operator’s landing page and you would get some traffic to convert to FTDs, revenues, and commissions because most anyone typing OnlineBet .com directly into their browser window (i.e., bypassing Google.com) is highly likely to be looking to place a bet (qualified).
If I may ask, how much bot traffic do you get? And how can you even measure real vs bot traffic?
I registered about a dozen domains I felt might have type in traffic(they may be junk and worthless, similar to casino names, but idk, no experience with type ins so much choices might not have been good enough, just a test). Just over $100 in handregs, not really banking on results, was more just curious to see. I get a surprising amount of bot traffic. I wasn't expecting that much bot traffic for on redirect domains(seems like more than I got for my actual wordpress site, oddly, well besides some days where my site gets bombarded by bots, mystified to as why there is so much of that). I know it's bot traffic rather than type ins because it comes in clusters and often to multiple domains I own from the same IP(aint no way the same person typed in the two different URLs I happen to own). I'm hoping even 1% of the traffic is type ins, though hard to know, I'm assuming it's mostly bots though impossible to measure(would be nice if it works, but so far it's kinda been annoying as now my metrics are filled with extra bot traffic).

Buying domains places it on lists of new domains.

And those that think they are seo gurus run the long list of seogguru scripts that are nothing more then follow all links (and report back) especially if instructed not to do so by robots.txt blocking or nofollow directives. Often this (report back) is then databased and published so that even more bots can find the links and ignore directives and follow them more.

In each case you might want to use a different campaign link on each domain to at least separate the traffic from your main sites.

Conclusion bots should follow the directives, but this far in to the internet game they never will.

Thanks for the tips! I did use no-follow redirects with my affiliate link plugin, rather than directly to the affiliate link, so I could track each(wasn't really thinking about bots when I did that, but idk, maybe helping some, though also counts as a hit on my overall site metrics too so kinda annoying with that as well, though I can just look at traffic for every other page/post to see my organic traffic for the site it'self). I should also do separate campaigns in my affiliate account though so I can see my normal site traffic conversion rates. Yes, it must be the databases, and the databases must have published the group of domains together. Annoying, but maybe will be worth it, idk worth a try at the least.
