odds api

this looks good https://the-odds-api.com/ - could be useful for some of you guys

from the site:

Bookmakers
The Live Odds API covers several global bookmakers including

• US Bookmakers: GTBets, Bovada, Bookmaker, MyBookie.ag, Intertops and more
• UK Bookmakers: Unibet, William Hill, Ladbrokes, Betfair, Bet Victor, Paddy Power and more
• EU Bookmakers: 1xBet, Pinnacle, Betfair, Nordic Bet, Unibet and more
• Australian Bookmakers: Sportsbet, TAB, BetEasy, Neds, Ladbrokes, Betfair, Unibet and more

We aim for consistency however bookmakers may vary across less popular sports
Sports
The API provides odds data for several in-season sports

• Football odds data: Aussie Rules (AFL), NFL, College Football (NCAA)
• Soccer odds data: EPL, FA Cup, German Bundesliga, UEFA Europa & Champions Leagues, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga, SPL, A-league and much more
• Basketball odds data: NBA, US College Basketball (NCAA), Euroleague
• Rugby league odds data: Aussie NRL
• Rugby union odds data: All major competitions
• Tennis odds data: All Grand Slams
• And more: We add sports all the time. Let us know what you want to see!

Markets
The Odds API offers odds data for head-to-head (moneyline) markets on all plans.
Starting in version 3 of the JSON web API, point spreads (handicap) odds and totals (over/under) odds are available.
Point spreads and totals aren't yet as comprehensive as moneyline markets, so they don't count against usage quotas on paid plans.

i wanted to use it for futures odds, but they do not seem to have those, so no good for me.

This is a cool feature, the price doesn’t seem that large, expected it to cost more.

is it works with socket?

uh that doesn't make sense.

Afternoon,

We are looking for an API that provides odds data for UK sports. https://the-odds-api.com/ - Besides these guys, any other platform out there on a recommendation?

Thanks,

J

Doesn't seem like an API provider I would trust. Looks like a no-name, not a serious company

Try Sportmonks.

Hi Offersville,

I used The OddsAPI to get my site up and running, and have found them to be fine over the last few months. They don't have as wide a range of competitions as I'd like, but the quality of data seems good.

I've now built my own code to ingest data feeds from each of the bookies own APIs and - in one case - the Odds API data is better than that provided by the bookie. One bookie's own API feed frequently does not match the data shown on their own website! (I'm not going to name the bookie, for fear of retribution.)

No idea how Odds API obtains their data ....screen scrapping maybe?

Cheers,

Greg

Thanks for this Greg. Any websites to have a look at the feeds?

J

Hi Offersville,

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for here. Do you mean a sample of the JSON served up by TheOddsAPI? If so, they've got a sample snippet on their home page the-odds-api [dot] com.

Cheers,

Greg

I am kind of lost in the request so forgive me if I am replying with nonsense. I am using sportmonks in my project and I am happy with them

have you guys tried https://sportsgameodds.com/ more generous than the odds api in terms of requests and pricing.
