    Hi ovidiubusi,

    Thanks for asking about this.

The Beast Affiliates sponsorship has been stopped for the present time because they're focusing on rebuilding the program and wanted to focus all of their efforts on that task.

If you PM me your a) affiliate ID, b) amount owed, and c) whether any additional reason was given for the delay apart from the staffing turnover, then I can try to follow up on your behalf.

    Yours,
    Steven

So they don't have any AM's left on staff? Yet their affiliate program is still accepting applications from new affiliates! What's wrong with this picture??

Are there other affiliates who aren't getting paid or is this an isolated incident?

When something like this happens - could GPWA make an official announcement so all affiliates are aware there may be potential problems?

I would like to see affiliate programs to be in business minimum amount of time before being accepted as a sponsor, too many new affiliates getting screwed over by these sort of groups.Platinum Sponsor should be reserved for those groups who have been around 5+ years IMO and issue free in terms of paying players and affiliates.

Agreed. There needs to be much more transparency so affiliates realize that sponsorship is all about money. I still see too many affiliates (new and veteran) who think sponsorship means that programs are safe and trustworthy.

I really hope you are both wrong, i would love to get a reply from sombody at the GPWA on this, it just seems to me that a program can go live get a Platinum seal people open accounts and send players and 6 months later they go bankrupt or just point blank refuse to pay affiliates.

GPWA lets us have an official response.

    Thanks

    Hi Ovidiu,

I apologize for not communicating about the follow-up I've been doing and the status I've heard from Beast. I've talked with them on occasions. There was an issue related specifically to your account that they were researching, and there has been progress on that. I've sent a private message to you including much more detail for you.

They did have a person who has taken on responsibility for the affiliate program (Simon) while they were in their hiring search. They've now hired on a new person that has a long history in the industry and comes from a well-known brand, and one of the first tasks the new person was assigned was to take part in a conference call between him, myself, and Simon to discuss the status of ovidiubusi payment. The person started work this past Thursday (July 8th), but I didn't think to ask if they've publicly announced who the person is yet so I'll hold off on sharing who it is until they have an opportunity to announce it first.

As far as the information I have suggests, this is a specific issue related to an aspect of ovidiubusi's account. I'm not aware of other issues, but if there is anyone who is aware of something else I'd very much appreciate the information so I can follow up with them.

In terms of sharing information about concerns when I have it, or when others within GPWA have it, I think that is something we try to do. The specific payment concern raised was brought to my attention through the post earlier in this thread, so it was public as soon as we were aware of it. The comment about change in affiliate managers was something I'd heard of in terms of one of our contacts having left, which we updated on the Beast Affiliates program review at the time it occurred. In that case I don't know the reason for the change, but knowing more about the others now I'm not positive that the turnover was at the choice of the affiliate manager in all cases -- so with the only issue raised being one that appears isolated, I read the staffing change as meaning that management has high expectations rather than that there was something scaring affiliate managers away.

I'm not sure that credibility ties as neatly into the amount of time the company has been is business, although I definitely see that as a factor that some affiliates would chose to consider. On the reverse side, I see some affiliates who chose to promote newer brands more than older ones because of the benefit of giving their players something fresh.

But in this particular case the operator has been in business with a history of payments without any issue. The company has been operating since 2006.
