Default Online casinos in the Netherlands

    Hi,

I was wondering if I can get someone's opinion on some of the legal dutch online casinos.

We currently have 4 legal casinos live on our websites: Kansino, Circus, Holland casino and Jack’s. Does anyone have experience playing at these online casinos? If so, do you mind sharing your experience? Which online casino do you consider to be the best in terms of games, bonuses and customer service?

    Let me know, thanks!

Wouldn't it have been better knowing this before you advertised the properties and wrote about how good their games, bonuses and customer service was?

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with what you're saying, but what % of the affiliate review market do we actually believe tests before they review? That most of the major iGaming content writing agencies advertise 'casino reviews' tells us how popular this content is to buy. And that's just the affs who are buying in content.

In honesty, I've always doubted the vast majority of reviews viewing them as little more than advertorials.

No offense to anyone here btw! I know that there are real reviewers on this forum who work very hard at it.

Kansino is in my opinion the best online casino. A lot of games, fast payouts, helpdesk is good. But the other 3 casino's are also fine.

We also promoted Holland Casino, but they sent this email a few days ago that they are terminating our partnership; I replied to ask why, and they reply they are closing the affiliate program entirely; I was wondering if this is the case with all the rest?

    Hi, good morning,

In light of the changes in the regulation and after thorough consideration, Holland Casino has decided to terminate all its affiliate program collaborations for the time being, reason why you have received this termination notice.

Thank you once again for your understanding and support and we will reach out for any future opportunities should it be of interest.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding the termination actions or the payment of the outstanding commissions.

    Best regards,
    Holland Casino

Can't understand why programs with a small market would do this.

Because it's a great opportunity to shave all affiliates and, after a while, to come back and begin again and start fresh... a common unethical business practice among companies that care nothing for affiliates.

HC is CPA, so even though harm is done it is not as bad as it would have been with a rev share model. BetCity - with rev share - on the other hand also "shaved" all affiliates. They will cease all payments as of July 1 2023.

I would say that Kansino is one of the top choices in the Netherlands. Among the aspects you mentioned, I would say that it excels in terms of game variety and customer service. However, it falls short when it comes to bonuses, as it doesn't offer any to new players.

Aside from that, the only disadvantage I see is that the registration process is tedious and limits your target audience to those in the Netherlands.

I think , they are all good. Must admit that Circus is good because of its wide variety of games and its generous bonuses and Kansino has easy-to-use interface.

I am Dutch and very closly involved in the Dutch iGaming market.

Most populair online casinos in the Netherlands are at the moment:

    - Unibet
    - BetCity
    - 711
    - Toto
    - Jacks
    - Kansino

However, the affiliate market has been made impossible with a new legislation.
It needs to be demonstrated that at least 95% of the persons reached by the advertising are aged 24+.
Even with an age-wall it is near to impossible to reach 95%.
I already lost 3 agreements with online casino's over this. By the 1st of July the new legislation will come into force.
Probably will lose all agreements with online casinos because myself and almost all other affiliates cannot meet these new rules.
The canalization is also endangered, as agreements with licensed online casino's are almost impossible to fulfill.

The current affiliate environment in the NL market is extremely hostile towards affiliates. To be honest it only seems to be getting worse. We should be ready to embrace new properly licensed markets but in NL this cannot be the case. I suspect we will see and are seeing a huge shift towards the few Curacao brands that accept NL traffic. The Dutch market not so long ago was flooded with MGA brands which honestly from a player perspective, was quite good. Now we will see a flood of Curacao brands. Some a affiliates will make a lot of money due to the short term lack of competition. Player perspective its all bad. Licensing that's driven by greed rather than protecting the player will always do nothing more than create an unregulated black market of gambling that hurts people.

Not one single affiliate is able to provide these stats, as Google analytics itself isn't even able to.

Jacks (one of the biggest for online and landbased in the netherlands) happily (ab)used their affiliates to enter the market, gain marketshare and now stab them in the back.

The 95% is just a lousy excuse...

In my own experience, I have not yet dealt with Dutch casinos, but while studying the niche, I came across a lot of good reviews about Kansino and Holland casino, they had more good reviews than others.

Thanks for the information. Doesn't sound like a good market at all.
