Default Online Casinos should support their affiliates more...!

    Hi All,

From the replies I've seen to date many people from all walks of life are involved in the Casino Industry one way or the other. These include, highly qualified and very competent individuals who have the drive and motivation to succeed in an extremely competitive and volatile environment irrespective of their circumtances. From mechanical engineers, software developers, medical scientists ...even ironmen!

The main reason why I've posted this thread is to determine the level of competency of individuals that are promoting Online Casinos. To be honest, has exceeded my wildest expectations. In line with the above, this brings me to my question.

Why can't Online Casinos be more accomodating in assisting webmasters of portal casinos toward the following?:

1). Certain incentives to the owners of portal casinos after they have adhered to stringement measures/criteria imposed by the Online Casinos they're affiliated to. What type of incentives are we talking about here? A minimum compensation fee of $US30 per month paid to the owners of portal casinos.

2). Assisting portal webmasters to improve/increase their PR in the various search engine as well as seo.

Make no mistake, there are Online Casinos who reward their affiliates handsomely! But, I feel that Casinos should extend their assistance toward affiliates outside the ambit of commissions only...!

    In conclusion

My intention is not to "open a can of worms" here, but just to air my views from what little knowledge/information I've gleaned from the Online Casino Industry to date. Given the competitive environment Online Casinos should realise that if they're to succeed the very key to their success in future lies in the way they treat their affiliates! Without affiliates very few Online Casinos would succeed!

The point I'm tried to make here is, is that Casinos should take note of the amount of competent and qualified individuals that are promoting their Casinos and work out a compensation struture toward those ...

    Cheers for now

    Cass

I've always found that the good programs will help out when required and asked. Most of the Affiliate Managers will give advice or suggestions if they can.

As for the minimum compensation, well.... I guess we'll have to just dream about that one. It's just too open to be abused.

It's my understanding that the basic concept of an affiliate program is to have an entire sales force with little liability and minimal overhead.

Getting higher PR, and making a social network to support your successful program depends on each individual affiliate. Darwin's theory working at it's best.. lol

    Agreed with that last comment.

IF affiliates want detailed support, tutorial and training in web SEO practices and also a monthly retainer then they start becoming a surrogate employee ... rather than an independant business.

There would be significant costs involved ... and I'd expect that 80% of the affiliate sites out there are would cost more than they'd bring in.

Like all independant sales contractors the onus is on performance for affiliates - sell and get paid well.

Actually, some of the better programs used to have more staff dedicated to affiliate programs, and affiliate newsletters with tips were the norm. Many companies have had to cut back their marketing teams and refocus their dollars on the European market with the adoption of the UIGE Act.

Having come from the industry and working with some of the largest operations in existence, I am dismayed by the lack of communication by affiliate managers compared to a few years ago.
