Default Online gambling featured in sitcom tonight (Oct. 6) on CBS

CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" will focus on Internet gambling tonight. Buzzy has never watched the show, but it sounds like one character introduces another to the world of online wagering, and that character has some problems playing responsibly.

The show airs at 8 p.m. EST and PST. Check your local listings if you plan on watching.

If I'm thinking of the same show ... I saw it in commercials and there were some familiar faces amongst the cast so it should have that much of a foot in the door .... if nothing else.

I think it has the girl from rosanne/scrubs in it and I think there was at least one other familiar face but can't remember who ...
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

I love this show -- my g/f introduced me to it recently and I have to say it is very funny, tracking the story of a group of nerdy friends. I watched the episode about "online gaming" but in this case it was about multi-player online roleplaying games rather than the gambling meaning of gaming.

You are correct bb1. Sara Gilbert, who was on Roseanne, is a character on the "Big Bang Theory." I watched the show Monday night to see what the online gaming angle would be (the things I do for the GPWA! ) and one of the main characters (not Sara Gilbert) was introduced to a massively multiplayer online role player game (mmorpg). She became addicted to the game in short order, setting a up a series of pretty funny scenes. As for the show itself, I enjoyed it -- and it may become one of my "guilty pleasures" on Monday night.

I watched it. Forgive me you Boston fellas LOL. I saw no humor and the online gambling connection was vague. In my defense, I don't watch this regularly. I'd rather watch SURVIVOR!

We are a whole different world down here on the cape and vineyard. Although on my trips through Newton, I look around for Casino City. One of these days I'll stop by!
