Owning a casino 'front'...

OK, here's another newbie question:

I do have enough money available to buy my own 'front' (through a rich relative) casino, but is this something a small person or group of people should attempt? I would have to pay all this money back to the relative within a reasonable time, though. What could I expect as a turnaround to profitability assuming I market the site right and have a good affiliate program? MicroGaming Systems seems like a good choice, but they do want a good bit of money for the site...can I expect them to actually pay me? Any personal favorites? (Maybe from their affiliate programs?)

Last question is this: I'm flexible where I live...what would be the ideal place to live if I wanted to own a 'real' casino?

OK, I must be missing something here or the casino front marketers are getting better. You can get a casino front end FREE from several casinos. Why not try that and see if you have the 'Right Stuff' to market one. It ain't easy, it ain't cheap and there ain't enough hours in the day so you may want to try that first. Just a suggestion.

You can live anywhere you want and still own a real casino. Just the casino needs to be in a jurisdiction that allows and licenses them. Set up an offshore company or buy a shell and you will be almost there.

Well, Nascar, first off thanks for the quick reply; however, my real question is this: I've been marketing other casino's affiliate programs and I realize the real money is on the other side of that equation. That is, using the power of the affiliate program, why not let the people that have already mastered this system run it for me AND make it profitable for myself and them since I can come up with the capital to do this up front?

Do those 'free casino fronts' come with an affiliate program? My real desire is to have the affiliate network drive the traffic...

Not in the way I think you mean. They do have built in aff progs, they are just the same as multi tier casinos have now where you get a reduced % the further down the line you go.

There's a company in Chicago that has worked with large land based operations and online operations alike that you may wish to look into. Recently they put up a website, about 18 months back, for online offerings. That's a really good way to get started before jumping into the big system. You can always upgrade from a sub-licensee to a licensee later down the road, with less risk involved! They provide offshore host, merchant, and 100% payouts, cause it's a sub-licnese, so you can only collect but not payout. Any payouts simply get debited from month to month until there's a win, but than again how often do they win? I'd recommend that, or getting involved with a system of investors where several people put in funding for one site. Anyway, if you want to get the info on the Chicago firm they're reputable & strong with a solid background in this industry. Rumor has it the big boss is a retired honorary state cop in Illinois too.
