Default Page Copied; Copier Files DMCA; What To Do?

I've never seen this one before.

Fraudulent Asshole X copies content from a legitimate website. Then Fraudulent Asshole X files a DMCA with the legitimate website's provider claiming the content is theirs.

How would one handle such a situation?

You should be able to show that you've been using the content far longer than ther pretender.

I have heard about scammers doing this. It is a pretty usual scam on Youtube as well. The first option is to file a counter-notice. That should probably be enough if you can prove that it is your content. Another option is to lawyer up and file a lawsuit.

I thought of that and checked, that page was not archived unfortunately.

It looks like a fake website to me. Doesn't rank in Google for anything that I could find.

I would wager that most, if not all of their content is stolen/fake.
