Hey, just curious - are you folks still mostly using paid ads (like Facebook, Google, etc.) and affiliate deals to promote casino apps, or is that kinda old-school now?

You might want to have a read through the facebook and social media section pay close attention to the threads that talk about how facebook and other social media can sometimes be shut down if not done properly when advertising gambling and gaming pages.
That does not mean it does not work at all, but being aware of the risks and possible pitfalls might help.

I personally, haven't ever used any paid adds on Google or social media platforms.
Tnks, I get what you’re saying. Honestly, I have never tried paid ads yet - just been struggling to get decent traffic recently, so started thinking maybe social media ads could work for me. Definitely gonna do some digging
Hi there!
Yes, paid ads remain highly profitable if done right. Most of our publishers are using these methods to scale up their profit.
Most popular one is Facebook since it's easier to start pushing ads on this platform. Regarding Google it's getting harder and harder to run traffic thanks to infinite updates that restrict iGaming Ads. Therefore some publishers still find their ways to get significant amounts of traffic using Google bringing high value players.
As for the affiliate deals, they are still good for this day because of the constant growth of the niche. The industry keeps evolving, with fresh, high-converting offers constantly emerging every day giving high deals to the affiliates.

Makes sense what Rick said - Facebook and other social platforms can be tricky with their policies, but they’re definitely still in use. From what I’ve seen at 1win Partners, a lot of affiliates are still running paid ads on both Facebook and Google.
Facebook brings big volumes, but yeah, the quality can be lower. With cloaking, solid pre-landers, and the right funnel, though, it can still perform well.
Google PPC is more costly, but the traffic quality is way better - especially if your keywords and flow are dialed in.
So no, paid ads aren’t outdated. They just need more precision now.
I don’t use paid ads, and they’ve never been a core part of my strategies. It’s not because they’re “old-school” or ineffective, but Meta’s ad policies make running campaigns for iGaming-related businesses a real headache. Even if you manage to get your ads approved, it’s very likely they’ll be taken down sooner rather than later, with no explanation and no chance to appeal.
I've personally never used paid ads and I've only been using the popular social media channels.
Yes, both paid ads and affiliate marketing are still valuable and effective strategies
Paid ads and affiliate deals aren’t outdated, but rules are definitely stricter now. Some platforms like Snapchat, Discord or Telegram don’t allow gambling ads at all, and, with all honesty, it's probably for the best.
On Google and Facebook you need proper licensing, pass the gambling application process and stay fully compliant. Otherwise, campaigns - and accounts - will inevitably be banned.
Keep in mind that if a country isn’t listed in Google's single-country license program, you can’t advertise in that country. And if you want to, you need a license. Google updated its policy on April 14, 2025. If you want to dive deeper, there are articles online that cover the topic in more depth (can't post links).
