    Default Paid Advertising Link

Hi, I posted a thread a few weeks back about buying a link to someone offering an advertising on their website. I got a reply from someone who owns a website for gambling tips. We talked about the website I wanted to link to and discussed the payment. After I got the link, I noticed its a no follow link. I emailed him about it and ask if he can change it to a do follow link since its useless that I payed for a no follow. It's been a week now and I haven't heard from him. It's unusual because before I payed him he always reply every few hours. Any tips about what to do next?

Thank you very much to those who can help.

It's good you have a no-follow on a paid link... very good.

How helpful, you've condoned someone getting scammed. In reply to the OP if you've paid over PayPal you can always file a dispute as long as its a business transaction or if you've used a credit card then you can file a charge back.

If however you've paid directly into their bank account there isn't much that you will be able to do. While purchasing anything online its always best to use PayPal business as theres always an extra layer of security for you.

    What's this guys name?

To be honest you needed to state that clearly prior publishing an article, if that wasn' done, then I don't see why he would have to change the link to do-follow.

Hi, yes we discussed about the link being a do follow. I don't know anyone who will pay for a no follow link sir.

Anyway, thank you for the comment.

Hello, It's a paypal transaction. But I'm still giving him a chance to reply. Maybe there's a problem on his side or an emergency. Thank you for your help sir!

I dealt with a guy who paid with delay via PayPal recently, that's why I asked.

To be honest people pay for NoFollow, it doesn't improve your SEO metrics, but it gives you traffic and Google still sees it, ranking has changed a lot with RankBrain algorithm.

I think that MrBinaryAff understood. And he is trying to let you know that you basically paid for an "high probable penalty" (for paid links) by Google.
Trust us... no follow is better.

I understand about getting penalized by google. But like I said, we didn't get what we paid for. I already filed a dispute on Paypal. Thank you for your comment

Sometimes I love speaking to the walls, but not this time. I tried to help by validating where he published and was ignored. Then I disputed about the fact that companies/brands/websites etc DO pay for no-follow links and TS just writes same thing all over again.

What was the point of the thread in the first place? *triple facepalm*

    merks and others,

The original reason of the thread creation was what to do about someone that failed to respond after they were paid.

First, contact me by pm (private message) and please provide the forum username as well as a brief description of the issue, the date you made the payment and a link to the thread or post where you found the advertisement about the link sale.

Others in the thread are correct that some do in fact purchase no-follow links in addition to do-follow. I suggest in the future you make sure you get in writing from a seller whether the link you are paying for is follow or no-follow if it is not stated in the ad.

Obviously there is some debate that surrounds whether an affiliate should ever buy any links, or that they should have a mix of follow and no follow, but if you provide me the requested information I will reach out and try to contact the seller on your behalf to see if I can help you reach a solution.

That's really too bad, I've bought many links in the past and I always specify it needs to be a do follow. Sad to hear that some people try to scam like this. As a safety measure I always mention that the link has to be do follow, that the payment i'm offering is with taxes included and also I always pay them AFTER the link has been added. It's easier for them to remove the link than it is for me to withdraw the money.

I wonder if there is a safe money exchange platform that one could use?
