Yes, I did.
I understand why you are asking. She is using the exact same template for everybody ( even operators). So it gets confusing, I have several of our sponsors asking me if Lana works with us.

So by adding the GPWA website ( a familiar name), I gather she is trying to trick people into replying back to her to ask her what is this about.

Also the subject line is offering collaboration with the GPWA, if she is contacting an operator with that line, it can be confusing.

We have nothing to do with her or the outreach company she is talking about.

Lana used this subject line to contact some of our sponsors "offer for collaboration with www.gpwa.org"

If I was a GPWA sponsor or a potential partner, I would first think, this is a representative from the GPWA offering me a collaboration.

Some partners asked me if this came from us, so I just wanted to make sure all members know Lana is not part of the team.

From how the email reads it sounds like they are just contacting numerous companies to get backlinks but forgot to change the subject

I got the same email and to me thought they just forgot to replace gpwa with our website as mentioned above.
To me it doesn't look like they are trying to appear from gpwa. It's clearly bad spam, so I deleted it.

This lady Lana, keeps sending emails to our partners using the same subject line over and over again. As I mentioned earlier, I do think she is a scammer trying to use the GPWA name to get some sort of response from potential clients.

Please ignore her and just delete the email.

These people like Lana just don't know when to stop and refuse to accept being denied what they're after. It's such nonsense. She sure seems desperate to get through to someone. I can't stand these scammers. This coronavirus in particular is running rampant right now and has me deeply concerned among many other real life world problems and getting scammed is one of the least things that I'm thinking about

Well, guys. I'm working for one of the sponsor companies, and I immediately texted Maria to see if Lana is somehow affiliated with GPWA. So I think creating this thread makes complete sense. No matter what the intentions behind these emails were, it's MISLEADING, and it, therefore, needs to be addressed.


"Offer for collaboration with GPWA" is (to me) a pretty straightforward sentence that indicates that Lana is a GPWA representative. If you're not, then you shouldn't "invite" anyone to collaborate with a portal you're not affiliated with in the SUBJECT LINE.


And reading the actual email...well. I had to read it multiple times to understand what she's saying anyway, so...

I just received it btw (so it seems like an ongoing thing). It takes too long to understand that they didn't change the subject line 'by mistake'

She says "Today I'm turning to you to ask if you are interested in including your website www.gpwa.org to the list of websites..."

None of that would indicate to me that she works for gpwa. The opposite would be apparent, that she thinks she is emailing the owner of gpwa. Same thing with the subject line, which is why the email was deleted.
