In my humble opinion, name is important, but names are plenty. Especially now that new tld are coming out like hot cakes. What is lacking are the people who will seriously develop a domain into a successful site. Therefore domain prices are falling down fast in my opinion.

I have made a few test sites.. Honestly I can't seem to get anything other then .com / .net / .org to rank.. I also don't see many other sites in the serps.. Maybe a few .us but on the US side of things.. it seems nothing else is worth pushing (from what ive seen).

The domain is good but it will depend on how you will optimize it as a website.
I suggest you narrow down a list of topic that you can discuss with regards to poker.
Then, pick the closest most relevant to the website as whole.

The domain is not so important as the content is. Of course the SEO also will rank you better, but the content quality will drive you the viral traffic. Selling it is useless - you will not get much money. Cheers.
