    Hi,

I'm just getting going with this new site and would like some feedback from some of the veterans.

If you have time please take a look at http://www.thechipleaders.com

I liked the forum layout and look. What kind of forum is it?

    The speed is outstanding.

There is one big problem I see and that is your title tag is the same on almost all of your pages. "The Chip Leaders Poker Forum - Live Interactive site for Poker Players."
Bonus zone | online casino | poker links - all these pages have the same title.

You have to fix this if you want a chance at getting search engine visitors. You should also make sure that the title is present in the description.

Once you get some content and some members I think your site is going to do great!

I agree with Deaddog. Your site is a nice but what about your keywords and description metatags? Forgot? It is necessary to add these meta tags that search engines would find your site.

So would you recomend changing the tags to title of the page?

    IE currently I have them

"The Chip Leaders Poker Forum - Live Interactive site for Poker Players."

for example the "online poker room page"

"The Chip Leaders Poker Forum - online poker room page."

As for my forum pages I'm stuck on only being able to use the one set of keywords as its template driven.

It's been long time since worked meta-tags. What's still a good program? I used to use webposition

Thanks for compliments and don't hesitate to sign up

I can't understand you, Wild Willy. You want to say that you don't need using keywords meta tags, do you?
About your title. I suppose you have to set to each page a unique title. The text "The Chip Leaders Poker Forum" may not be on all pages as title.
I used to use such titles, for example, all my pages had such title :"777 Online Gambling :: Poker Rooms" or "777 Online Gambling :: Online Casino Software". And now I have already understood that the title must contain phrases with keywords that are set for the current page.

I think your index page title is fine as well as the forum, but you should have a different title for the other pages.

    example: hxxp://www.thechipleaders.com/freerolltournament.php,

The title you have is: The Chip Leaders Poker Forum - Live Interactive site for Poker Players.
If you want to target the word freeroll than the title of this page should be something along the lines of Freeroll Tournaments... blah blah whatever...

If you want visitors to come from msn, google, yahoo by typing the keyphrase "Freeroll" Then you got to have this word somewhere in your title, preferably at the front.

Your description tag is good because the word freeroll and tournaments are in there.
You have: Hold'em Omaha 7-stud Tournaments Freeroll Online Poker Poker Theory Free roll Poker Strategy WSOP Poker rooms.

The descriptioin, title and keywords need to compliment each other.

I'll use my ringtone website as another example: mobillogoer.no
I wanted to target the keyword "farge logoer" which means color logos in norwegian. I used farge logoer at the start of the title and in the description.
It does ok at google and yahoo.

The forum is ok, it will take care of itself, it's all your other pages you can improve.

It's phpBB using the iCGstation theme.

A bit hard to tell as the GPL copyright has been removed. Which btw is a no no. Unless the fee has been paid to remove the copyright. Then again looking over the code, I doubt that very much.

I'm also sure that the theme used should also have its copyright showing too.

    Edit:
Thought I'd check the full code.

    PHP Code:
    <div align="center"><span class="copyright"><br />
                    </
    td>
                </
    tr>
            </
    table>
                    </
    span>
                          <
    p><span class="copyright"></p
As your a newbie I'll give you the benefit of the doubt WW.

I'm sure you've seen enough gambling webmasters here getting upset about their copyrighted material being used (stolen). What your doing here really isn't much different.

    Thanks.

Pretty easy to tell, been using BB for years

Though 9 times out of 10 you can usually grab the css theme name and google it.
