Default I may be wrong but....

From what I have heard, poker is a long term money maker as you have to wait for the rake but not a bad deal by no means.

In sports betting your affiliate profits tends to be more immediate as you are paid on the net loss per bet.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong

Poker is a long hard slog, in terms of being an affiliate, as you have to have a pretty decent volume of players in order to turn a profit on the "rake" revenue model.

Sports betting on the other hand offers a earning model closer to casino, in that you get paid a percentage of losses, as on casino. Your only issue here is basically "sharp" or "smart" punters who keep winning.

In terms of being an affiliate, I would imagine sports would be slightly easier to work with, as it offers various markets which interest a vast array of people, from football right through to golf or volleyball, and every event of course gives the affiliate the opportunity to generate unique content on their site, by writing about them.

There are of course hundreds of other factors to consider when you decide on a product to promote, including what you feel more comfortable writing about / offering content on, but this is just my (very broad) 2c. I'm sure some of the sports and poker affiliates would be able to write paragraphs for you about the differences.

    Cheers,
