Default Are poker rooms ready for iPhone & iPad?

To answer this question I contacted several of the largest poker rooms and these are some of the responses:

    http://www.mobilepokerreview.com/new...ne-generation/

Not surprisingly most are not very open in sharing information about this. I am positive they are working on this at some level, however competition like for example: https://www.switchpoker.com is given a great amount of space and time to gain market share.

Love to hear your thoughts on this!

I've been wondering about this but I can't really see apple approving a gambling app for the iphone if they did I imagine such an app would be already available certainly from one of the smaller sites trying to target a niche market.

The same applies in online casinos in searching for ipad casinos and mobile casinos.

Not all casinos will be ipad ready as long as apple tries to control your content and remains flash unfriendly.

Mobile gambling will be better interesting in android challenging iphone.

So I think it would be better if we rephrase the question.. Are iPhone and iPad ready for poker? However, recently I heard this issue about poker going for mobile and iPad gaming and the applications are already on their development.

LadyLucks already has an in-browser P2P poker game for iPhone:

Still gaining momentum but I think this is going to be big. How many users does that Zynga poker app have now? a bajillion. yes, precisely one bajillion.

I think that flash is the biggest deterent to it happening but there is that new iphone app that uses flash on their own bandwith and server and then sends it to your phone. So maybe apple will take note of that.

At G2E convention in Vegas, there was a strong emphasis on mobile gaming.

I can't wait to have such application in my iPad. iPad and mobile gaming is really getting their way to beat the PC and laptops. Anyway, iPad and mobile internet is much handy, therefore, it's much comfortable to use.

There are quite a few mobile poker games out there - both for the smartphones and the symbian ones. However they are not for affiliates to promote yet as the signup process is very clunky.

Most of the major players are using mobile poker games as a retention tool for their existing online customers. I haven't seen any mobile poker product that I can advertise as an affiliate on my mobile website. If anyone can prove me wrong, please go ahead.

    Thanks

davenewgates and all: How are you personally finding your iPad? Is it a susbstitute for your laptop now, at least for smaller or simpler tasks? I am seriously thinking about treating myself to one for Xmas!!!

I heard that mobile gambling is not paying real money winnings. I want to have that application for my iPad too but I'm a bit disturbed by this issue.

Well for me, laptop is still much more superior. But for simpler tasks, like simple internet browsing, emails, and some simple apps, iPad is more convenient for me.
