Richard Henry Lee, one of the finalists from the 2006 WSOP Main Event, has been accused of operating an illegal sportsbook out of his home in San Antonio.

Lee and four of his associates, including his son-in-law, were hit with misdemeanor charges following a 14-month investigation.

    Here's the complete story:

I remember a story breaking on NeverWinPoker about Richard Lee and his illegal sports betting operation a few weeks after the 2006 Main Event final table was televised. I believe he got arrested and had a lot of his property, cars, and cash seized -- from there I don't remember a followup on the story. Guess they were just investigating him further until they could bring up official charges on him.
