Poker star forfeits $2.2 million
Richard Henry Lee, one of the finalists from the 2006 WSOP Main Event, has struck a plea deal in a case involving an online bookmaking operation. He was accused of operating an illegal sportsbook out of his home in San Antonio.
Lee and four of his associates, including his son-in-law, were hit with misdemeanor charges following a 14-month investigation.
Under the deal, Richard Henry Lee will forfeit more than $2.2 million in purported poker winnings. In return, he pleaded no contest yesterday to misdemeanor keeping a place for gambling.
