Default PokerNews looks ahead to 2010

PokerNews posted an article today that looks ahead to 2010 in terms of poker legislation, and the site is optimistic on progress being made in the industry.

Matthew Kredell, the author of the piece, says there "is little doubt that 2010 will be poker's best year yet in terms of political progress."

The piece is a worthy read because it goes through a step-by-step process on how poker legislation might be passed in the U.S.

    This part caught my eye:

It seems unlikely that a bill can get all the way through the Senate this year. Unfortunately, poker legislation doesn't get to start next year where it left off in 2010. Even if the issue does reach the Senate, it will have to start over in the House.
So we are not likely to see any change this year.

If to goes to next year the process has to start over.

There will be mid-term elections in November. If the Republicans make advances in congress we are back to square one.
