    Default Pokerrockets.com Plagiarized My Article

A GPWA approved portal plagiarized an article of mine. I sent them an email but have yet to hear back. Someone mentioned to me that they were an approved portal here so I thought maybe I would post about it here.

I cannot post links due to being new so remove xxx and copy/paste

I wrote this article on December 25th:

    xxx4flush.com/online-poker-news/lock-poker-continues-to-struggle-with-withdrawal-speeds/11443

On December 26th this article appeared:

    xxxpokerrockets.com/poker-news/lock-poker-suffers-with-withdrawal-speeds/

The same writer Sophia writes all of their news so either the same freelancer or the site owner. Perhaps the owner is buying from a rogue writer or maybe they are copying people's articles themselves. The rewrite just changed a few words around but it is clearly my article. I would appreciate it if anyone that knows this person would help me get the article removed from that site. They are using it without permission and no effort was made to make the article original.

    Hey man,

I hope it gets sorted for you - but say in a few days time if nothing gets sorted PM me and I will call for a "Vote for Suspension" of his SEAL and private membership status if the content is not removed. A couple years ago someone did this to me and he was voted off GPWA. Lost his seal and all.

TY, many times this ends up being a rogue writer, since the same writer has written all of their articles then there may be a bigger problem there but I am willing to give benefit of the doubt if it gets removed.

Thanks Anthony for checking it out. Obviously this isn't the first or last time that John's articles have been plagiarized, but hopefully it'll get resolved regardless.

    Hello AceHigh Pino,

the minimum would be the reference to you, the source, and a backlink.
    It's "stolen" content!

Very strange, if you look here ................... 365poker.se/?tag=struggle
    ...almost identical...

    Your article again without backlink.
    Is this your site?

No own, only rewritten content is lame.

I had this recently, send a cease and desist to their host, and usually, they will remove the offending material.

Did a whois search, and it seems that bluehost.com is the host, so just get their contact details, and tell them. It's usually quite quick

It's a shame there isn't any money in it, because going after content thieves in this genre seems to be pretty much a full-time job. Sadly, there will always be more people stealing than creating, at least as long as there's a market for sub-quality content.
Feel free to PM with mutually beneficial opportunities; we do not sell links on our sites. Some sample pages: sell PokerStars tournament dollars| Rush poker

Righthaven tried and failed, although their approach was really flawed.

Anyway, no response from these guys four days later. I am going to go after their hosting and affiliate accounts. I have a 100% success rate for hosting and about 50/50 on getting people's affiliate accounts closed.

I received a reply from pokerrockets.com. Mark discussed the issue with his content manager and she is dealing with the individual that posted the article.

He has removed the article and thanked us for bringing it to his attention.

This xxxx365poker.se pretty much posts every article written on 4Flush onto their site....what the F, lol. Good lord this is just straight theft right there on this particular portal.

LOL they even copy the first few paragraphs of my homepage onto theirs. Well this should keep me on my toes for the next few days trying to see if there's any more clowns out there like this one trying to Google Bowl me.
