PokerStars shut out of N.J. for at least two years
Forbes' Nathan Vardi reports that the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has "suspended the review of PokerStars' application for an online gambling license for two years."
That leaves PokerStars shut out of the largest market in the U.S. to open for real-money online gambling, and gives sites like PartyPoker and WSOP.com a chance to build a big market share before PokerStars gets its foot in the door -- if it ever does.
Eric Hollreiser of PokerStars was quoted by ESPN's Adam Feldman on Twitter as responding: "We are disappointed that the [NJDGE] has suspended the review of our application at this time. We note that the DGE will resume the review of our application if our circumstances change. We will remain in open dialogue with DGE."

get this though...
local tv commercials in NJ are promoting PartyPoker.com
when you go to the website...basically you get a pop-up saying...you can register even if ur not from NJ....and once ur at a friend's house in NJ or whatever....u can legally play all you want.
what the heck's up with this? I thought only a few , hand picked...land based casinos were able to do the online gambling.
