PokerStars tells AGA to bug off in new legal brief
Well, that's not exactly what PokerStars said. Buzzy is just paraphrasing. What PokerStars is asking, according to John Brennan from Meadowlands Matters (who is the ace reporter on the PokerStars bid to purchase the Atlantic City Club) and copies of a brief filed PokerStars' lawyer floating around the Internet, PokerStars wants New Jersey's Division of Gaming Enforcement to reject the AGA's effort participate in the licensing process for PokerStars.
PokerStars' argument, is essentially, the AGA has no standing to argue. It doesn't have any first-hand information to offer, and it's only motive for trying to participate in the process is "economic warfare."
And in case you missed it the first time around, here's the brief the American Gaming Association filed saying PokerStars shouldn't be licensed to buy the Atlantic Club Casino.
