Angry PokerStarsPartners just changed their revenue share from livetime to 2 years

I just received an mail from PokerStarsPartners (Amaya) that they decided to change their revenue share plan. Instead of lifetime they will pay only in the first 2 years of each player. This, of course, will be valid retroactively for all already referred players.

What a generosity from Amaya they should be paying only the first 2-3 days of every player why 2 years...

Pokerstars affiliates closed my affiliate account because I didn t make my plan: a new player in the last 90 days.
    The communist era is back.

PokerStars Partners are the type of guys who just want profit for themselves and as I know they only work closely with big partners, they don't care about small affiliates, neither they look for new ones. Their SEO is good, so they don't need to worry about new players that much

In my opinion, this can be a game-changer in the poker affiliate bussiness. Bigger, older affiliates had many strong, winning players @ Stars who wouldn't leave the room for any promotion and generate insane amount of rake. I don't know how heavily they rely on money from Stars, but I'm sure that this will cut deep in their pocket. So affiliates should emphasize the smaller poker rooms more for new players.

It doesn't matter who you are or how big you are. Pokerstars will screw you over. I would strongly advise against being a partner with Pokerstars.

If you are big, for example bringing more than 100 depositors a month I believe you can negatively speak about them and they won't like that

Affiliates shouldn't put up with this type of nonsense. There are plenty of other decent programs to promote.

I've just read your story (blog post) from September and totally understand your opinion. I tried to understand this 8.4 point but my english (or my lawyer english) is just not sufficient for that.

This is the downside of the poker business, the giant doesn't really need to uphold deals anymore.
