Cobus, what do you think about adding affiliate tags to the links in the popup?

    Hi,

With website-to-website tracking, we use the VP number to track back to the original visit (in this case the visit where the affiliate ID came from). Affiliates who promoted the Belle Rock Entertainment website when it was first launched, will remember this. It is also the case with any exit pop-ups and, as I mentioned, other website-to-website tracking.

I have however asked our dev team to add the affiliate ID in the source code and not hide it so that affiliates can see the actual affiliate ID.

As you know, I always answer my emails within 24 working hours, so I feel free to contact me directly should you wish to raise any concerns in future.

    Thanks
    Cobus

Thanks Cobus. One more question -- maybe a dumb one -- but what is the "VP" number? I don't know if I've heard of that before.

    Hi Engineer,

My apologies - I should have explained that!

A visitor to the site will be assigned a VT number (Visitor number), but when there is website-to-website tracking (i.e. RiverBelle to Gaming Club), we also assign a VP number to the visitor.
This is used to track back to the original source (i.e. affiliate ID). The VP number is an internal tracking code that we use in cases like these.

    Thanks
    Cobus
