Popup works ?

Good morning guys..

This night i change my popup script....my old script was not bad but i found a better one...

Pupup appers after 2 seconds (popup is not finish,only previev)

Works. (Firefox). I think in case you do wish to use it, you should delay it much longer to let people read what they came for.

That way they might look at it as additional something you offer and not an irritating promo.

I mean something like 45 sec.

Personally when I come across a site that has pop ups I hit the close button and go elsewhere. It's not a great signal.

it depends on the size of the popup and the time it takes to load after a visitor enters the site.

If you have a small popup which shows on a bottom corner and disappears if you click somewhere else, that's perfectly fine. But never ever open it before a few seconds (ideally 30-45), so you give a chance to your visitors to read some of the content before you "spam" them.

In my opinion, the worst kind of popups are those which open in a new window when you click a link! Those are extremely annoying and make people want to close your site and never come back again. This is particularly bad with gambling. People hate having gambling sites opening in a new window when they didn't want to open them at all..

I'd suggest looking at a pop-up that gets triggered if my mouse cursor moves towards the "close tab" rather than after a time delay. A lot of good 3rd party tools available.

Popups works, that´s right

But they cannot be annoying, almost every page has a newsletter offer via popup, and user can get bored from this stuff. There has to be a great offer on the popup, and it must be displayed after user spends some time on the site, otherwise it´s useless and will raise your bounce rate. Also the close button has to be clear and visible..

We've setup a popup on couple of articles, where popup appears when 75% of text was read. Results are pretty good, and people don't leave our website after seeing a popup. Popup is pretty relevant as well and gave us couple of good signups!

But maybe they don't come back - i mean, if they had already read 75% maybe they want to finish the story - but that doesn't mean they won't make a mental note not to visit again!

I detest pop-ups and i've refused this crap on numerous occasions - but like with most things in this world, the individual decides!

Anyone knows of any good wordpress plugins that are ebing used for good pop ups, were user can do tons of customization?

I want to try this on some of my sites in the future as well, it seems like a lot of affiliates does it already so theres surely something to it

Though I think that popups shouldn't display offers that can be seen easily elsewhere, because as Syndicate says about this wouldnt give any reader the wow-factor, it will only be disturbing.

I've seen people do "invite your friends and get €10 on X casino" and such, not sure how it does though.

My browser blocks popus automatically, and if some get through I close them immediately without even reading them. IMO, they're a thing of the past and shouldn't be used anymore.

I have removed the popup after some days...with this results..

Open after 1 sec > CTR 1,6%
Open after 3 sec > CTR 3,3%
Open after 25 sec > CTR ,14,5

Really god scripts with /Backend/ Statistic / Location / Time configuration are not for free and cost around 75$/month...

The most scripts run only with WP,and this is what i dont need.

No doubt they get lots of clicks usually by mobile users trying to turn them off hence the ctr.. what were the actual signups?
