President of ARJEL says online poker "fad" is over
Charles Coppolani, who took over as President of ARJEL two months ago, told Les Échos that "The (online poker) fad is over. Basically, the online poker market may be mature."
He blames unlicensed operators and an unstable economic situation in France for the decline in French online poker play. And here I thought it was because of the unreasonable 2 percent they took out of every pot ...

Of course the 2% pot tax is having a major effect ...
However, I would agree that in general poker play is declining in Uk / Europe, based on our our rev-share takes.
Players from North America continue to play in good numbers - but the game in Europe is stale.
