Default Private forum for both affs and AMs

Am I correct in thinking there are currently three types of forum on GPWA - public, private for affs only and private for AM's only?

Would it also be useful to have a crossover forum between the two private ones? Ie: One where you have to be a private member or an AM to access it.

Sometimes there are topics that would be better kept out of the public eye but which apply to both affiliates and AM's (eg: discussing processors etc..).

    Just a thought...

Each program has a private sub-forum, for private members and the programs affiliate managers.

I will double check to see who has access to the private "payments" forum.

Since this already exists within each program's forum, I see no reason to add another one, unless we have just one where things like payment issues etc can be discussed.

Of course this would be restricted from the search engines as all other private forums are.

I'm thinking more for general discussions that don't relate to a specific program but should stay private (like a private version of 'the chatter box'). The processor example was the first thing that came to mind, but there are other topics that would suit too.

A good example just popped up so I thought I'd share - this thread was put in the private forum, but could probably use some input from AM's:

Some discussions are sometimes started in private since many of us know that some affiliates speak more freely in private then they would in a more public setting.

Another great example of when a private AM/Aff forum would be useful: https://www.gpwa.org/forum/skrill-pu...tml#post742259

Each forum has a private area where only the private members (affiliates) and the Affiliate Managers or that group have access to so it already exists.

I think the request, the way I read it, is that it would be nice to be able to ask all affiliate managers a question and get feedback in a private setting out of the public eye. While there is a private forum for private posts to individual AM's, it's not possible to start a private thread addressing all am's for feedback. One would have to go to each programs private forum and post the same thing over and over.

Topics such as payments, stats concerns and banner/link issues could be addressed with the expertise of multiple AM's. Among probably numerous other things that both affs and AM's would be reluctant to share in public.

You mean the private program forums? That's all well and good if you want to have a private discussion with the AM's from program X, but what if you also want input from AM's from program Y and Z too.

In the example I posted above it seems fairly clear that Renee has some info that she could share, but wants it out of the public eye. The conversation had nothing to do with rewards affiliates specifically so for it to be in the RA forum doesn't make sense - plus doesn't that exclude the other AM's from contributing to it?

    See what I mean?
