Private Membership and Site Review Request

Dear GPWA Members,

according to my latest discussion with Nancy, I would be pleased if you will take a closer look to my site: "Webs Best Online Casinos" see within signature...

I still feel a little bit "unhappy", because.. altough I am on google on the first/second page for keywords like "best casinos", I still get absolutely no conversions, less clicks and no sign-ups.

Do you probably see what is wrong here? maybe the cloaked casino links which load for a longer time as usual? ...could this be the reason?
or maybe the casinos are too poor? or other reason?

Please be so kind as to advise....
Moreover I am still on hold for private membership... It would be a great pleasure for me if I get your "Okays" to be part in your community.

I just took a look at your website you mentioned.
Graphically it looks nice...
In my opinion though, there is a complete lack on content on the site.
You have a lot of banners and links to try the casinos.... and there is some small reviews about what each one has to offer.
I do play online regularly...And if I visited your website.... I would probably move to another page that had more in depth reviews of the casino I wanted to play at....

That is just my opinion.... Content is key to keeping your visitors engaged....

what do you think of this idea...

After my "welcome speech" in the beginning I am thinking of showing a nice visual arranged table...which will list the five best casinos of the web with showing each logo, the next column would show the bonuses of the casino, next one can display the most important features and facts of the casino (better to write in sentences I think so), next column should show the cloaked link to the casino and last one should show up download buttons, animated, for more effectiveness...

Besides this, I can keep/maintain the casino links on the left hand side, but maybe in a new kind of way. Those links can lead to a new subpage with an detailed review o the casino to give the visitor more details... (for instance: websbestonlinecasinos/casinoaction-review.html and so on.)

And as a third consideration I am thinking of including more links to my homepage, links like: Casino strategies, Casino rules, gambling news or whatever... to give the site more good non-advertising content!

How do you think about that?
Maybe this is my needed step to success? can you follow me on that? do you have other ideas or more suggestions?

Honestly, online gambling visitors need value from your website, not links to click on. Your visitors are finding your website cause they are seeking some kind of information. It is your website that needs to provide the visitor what they are looking for, and this helps your chances in a conversions. Having small unedited reviews of websites may have worked 10 years ago when online gambling was new, but people are more internet savvy now and are looking for more specific info. You need to provide them with what they are looking for, and include your sales pitch to get them to download, register, deposit, etc...

My website was done with GamblingTemplates.net, but I found the templates very hard to work with.... I did not like them very much at all..... I hired on a web designer, who is moving everything over to wordpress now for a much more integrated feel, and now I can have better content management.

Take a look at the difference.... The new one is so much nicer....

I am not going to give you specific info on what you should do with your site. I am only going to say you need lots of content, focus all your time and money on SEO, know your industry and give your visitors value and the information you think they are seeking based on your keywords and SEO efforts.

Ok, so thanks a lot at first, but here I have something to tell you...

It is not that I am doing no seo or linkbuilding. Years ago I was successful with other gambling sites, which are no more online right now. I created new ones, and by doing seo and link building, i was able to get the same google positions for same keywords as for 6 years ago...

So although I really got top positions on top keywords I see that something does not work. As you already told... the content has to be much better, but there is content and there are reviews to find. I know, less...but to come back to conversions... at least 3/week should work, but it does not work, although "best casinos" is targeted in google!

Can you explain that? maybe the mistake can be found in the use of wrong/unknown casinos or slow-loading casino links (cloaked) . Maybe the visitor do not want to wait for the sites to open? and so they go on another site?

I need more members to review my site please, nevertheless I thank you very much, because content, you are absolutely right, has to be added!

I understand you are second page on Google for best casinos, which I am sure is partly because your domain name includes those terms.

I found this about your site from Alexa.com

Websbestonlinecasinos.com is ranked #1,671,298 in the world according to the three-month Alexa traffic rankings. This site has a bounce rate of about 56% (i.e., 56% of visits consist of only one pageview). The time spent in a typical visit to this site is approximately 66 seconds, with 41 seconds spent on each pageview, and search engines refer roughly 2% of visits to it. Visitors to Websbestonlinecasinos.com view 1.4 unique pages each day on average.

This may be helpful in identifying that your visitors are spending very very little time on your website.

Ok, thanks again. So in earlier time, I was within the top10 too, (same keyowrd), but it was not really my domain, it was a subdomain of ezboard.com (community) and the site convert as hell!

It was even designed much more simple than my sites at present.
So I made a little - maybe different - experience.

So now I think I need to add much more informative character to my site as well as a lot of content on themes like "how to.." "where to..." "strategies"... "news" and so on... maybe this works than similar as my old community....

So thanks again for your help...
Nevertheless, I would be pleased if also all of you other members may add some advices. Many Thanks in advance.

I agree with the advice you received previously as well as with your thoughts on how you can improve your site. Your content should be interesting to visitors and which might make them spend more time on your site and even revisit your site. Adding strategies, news, etc... is a good idea.

I think that the current reviews are very general and need some more working on. Maybe by clicking on each casino, instead of taking them directly to the casino site, it might take them to a landing page or a specific page which gives more in-depth description about the casino. The different offers, bonuses, games, etc... maybe you can do a personal review of the casinos. Try them out and talk about your experience.

Maybe you can also add a section for mobile casinos to capture all visitors who might be interested to continue playing on their mobile phones after they get off their computers/laptops.

As mentioned to you previously, make sure to provide visitors with what they are looking for, and include your sales pitch to get them to download, register, deposit, etc...

As for the merchants you should be selecting for your site, nothing is set in stone on what would work and convert and what wouldn’t. Some affiliates/sites can succeed with a merchant where many others have failed.

Honestly you need to read up on landing page design and how to squeeze conversions out of a website.

I am on a laptop right now but 70% of my screen is taken up by your enormous header followed by a description and I have to scroll down some way before I even see a link to a casino. That is itself a major flaw but so much more could be done with this site.

What volume of traffic do you get?

serach engine traffic basically... from google, yahoo and bing.

I rank for keyowrds like best casinos, best casinos online, top casino games, top casinos etc....

mostly from US...

maybe my casinos are not us friendly? ...

add: so ...now...within the last hours I recognized that absolutely no casino is us friendly on my site, maybe this is the major problem why I get no conversions
Now I decide to change the look a little bit, add other casinos, add more content and keep you informed...

The design of your site is very off putting.

If someone is searching for "best casinos" they are looking for some reputable advice on which casinos are the best. Your site design does not say reputable, it says amatuer.

And are these casinos really the best:

Phoenician Casino
Aztec Riches Casino
Strike it Lucky Casino
Music Hall Casino

There needs to be a strong link between the search term and the page content to get conversions.

When I click your link to visit Phoenician Casino it takes me to a page I can only describe as pathetic (http://promos.c-rewards.com/splash/phc/en/sp11/default .asp).

It looks like you've just chosen 4 casinos from the same company or from the same affiliate program.

Do you even have an idea about what the best casinos are? You need to know your product before you can sell it.

Ok, besides that your advice sounds a little bit hard, you are anyhow absolutely right. Not even one of those casinos - in my opinion as well - are really the best and yes, they are from the same affiliate program and yes they do not accept US Players as I see now, what it my basic target group.

But as I said beforehand I change the design a little bit, but just a little bit, and reupload it after I am ready, ok?

Nevertheless, four years ago the same design thing with casinos from one affiliate group worked for my ezboard community. Main serach term here was:
"best casinos"

so... what do you say now? ... but to this time US Players were accepted...

I will change and come back to you...

Check your analytics to see which countries your visitors are coming from, then choose casinos aimed at them. This is just common sense.

For the design, any website can always look better but yours has a long way to go.

You can start by removing these images completely:

You should spend some time looking at other casino websites and try to learn from their designs & layouts.

I agree with zuk1, your main graphic takes up way too much real estate, does it need to be that big? Also, you need more 'call to actions'.

I don't know what I am focusing on when I go to your site. I'm sure a lot of hard work went into your sites main image, but I would cull it in favour of a more descreet logo.

Also, I recommend to anyone to read 'Letting Go Of The Words' (no affiliate link):

People wan't bullet points, short sharp facts, people scan read so you need to cater for that more.

For instance, i think your 'Top Casino Listings' would do better if it was more to the top of the scree (above the fold), that is, when people with smaller screen resolutions visited your site they could see it without scrolling, and I would also make 'Visit Casino' link much bigger, along with any bonus info clearly visible, so for scan readers they can quickly pick up the information they need.

For instance, your review for 'Aztec Riches Casino' says:

"value of $850! Now that’s pretty generous don’t you think?"

If it is amazing, why not make $850 dollars a much bigger font, with 'Play Now' or 'Claim' underneath it, rather than just hidden away in a big bit of text that alot of busy web users might not read.

Should it be 'Visit Site' or should the text be more pro-active and say 'Claim Bonus' / 'Play Now', etc.
