My understanding of progressive jackpots is that the prize is paid from a separate pot, held with the operator. As a result, jackpots are paid in one installment, with the exception of IGT's ten years arrangement.
If the above is correct, how/why do casinos such as Mr Green and Winner Casino restrict progressive jackpot wins to their standard 'max monthly payout' installments? How do these casinos get involved with the payment of a progressive jackpot?
