    Default Question about past earnings

This is an "in general" question about the income access reporting software. It is not a question about a specific brand and it is not a question to discuss in private or more specifically by email, telephone call, or PM.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, my question is as follows:

In the "earnings report", what would cause a month that has already paid out (think sometime in 2014) to reflect a different amount than the amount that was actually paid out?

I would think that if I were to go back and audit my player data or earnings data over a period of time, it would 100% match to what any historical reports I have says. I would also imagine that the earnings data would reflect the amount that I had been paid for the month or months in question.

    Hi Shay,

Stats in historic months that have already been closed and paid out generally should not change in the system. If you are comparing what is in the earning report, to what you have actually been paid, you need to consider the following:

    1) Does the brand take a payment fee on affiliate payments each month
    2) Does your payment method (for example, if it was a bank transfer) take a fee?

I know you mentioned this is a general question, but based on it, I assume this stems from a specific situation you have noticed. I am happy to look into this for you, however would need the operator, username and time frames you are seeing this discrepancy.

    Thanks,
    Allan

    Allan,

I would agree that the totals and amounts should not generally change in the system.

What I am seeing is not payment fee or bank fee related. I used the amount I was paid to verify that the information I had from previous months was accurate - so the payment amount was a reference point for me (to verify or validate which set of information was "correct" at the time).

With that in mind, let's get my most paranoid scenario out of the way. Hypothetically, suppose an old, but frequent player was "accidentally" untagged by the brand. For the sake of argument, let's say that they made an update to their player database somehow and the affiliate tag for a particular player did not translate over properly. For simplicity, let's say this accidental detagging occurred yesterday.

Would this particular player show in the historical stats for the affiliate at all or would he disappear?

Would the totals for any of the previous months change at all and if so, how?

    Hi Shay,

In the scenario described above, historical stats would not change. Tt is the same thing as if a player stops playing, their historical stats would remain in the reports.

    Cheers,
    Allan

OK, that's close to what I thought would happen in my hypothetical.

Net revenue (for the month I'm seeing this) appears to be correct for that month, as does number of players, clicks, signups, and new depositing players. The total commission column is where the error appears. This applies to the player report and the earnings report. The difference is drastic, and not due to any type of bank fees/tax/etc.

I just realized I did not pose a question. What would cause the total commission column to fail in reflecting the "proper" amount in my above scenario?

Additionally, to your response - how would an affiliate know whether or not a player has been detagged "accidentally" as in my hypothetical scenario if the old player information (for previous months) remains in place?

    Hi Shay,

Let's use the example of a player stopping to play. Once that player stops playing, and no longer places any bets, you will simply not see any stats in your reports moving forward for that player. All historical stats remain, as that player earned commissions for you.

In terms of why the total commissions column is not displaying the same commission as in the past, this should generally not happen. I understand you want to speak in generalities here, but in order to give you a concrete answer and investigate, I do need specific examples.

    Thanks,
    Allan

Coral is a brand where this is happening.

    Hi Shay,

I am happy to look into this, what I do need is an example of of what you are currently seeing in terms of commissions, and the stats you have saved that you originally pulled from the system. I also need to know the months you are looking at.

Feel free to PM me these details if you prefer.

    Cheers,
    Allan
