Hi, Probably a simple question but I'm a bit confused by it! If I send hundreds of visitors to my website eachday through social media will it help my site rank better and quicker? Also are there any down sides to sending hundreds of visitors from day one?

1, No, and 2, Yes, you could use that time building something more valuable.. fact is most people are not on Social Media to buy thing's.. I see start ups get a big investment and plough it into Social Media expecting great result's.. trraffic wise it's great but the fact is you need targeted traffic not some 15 year old kid looking for a free soccer bet.. organic is the way usually these companies die out after the $$ runs out.. There are no quick fixes.. However I have found social media beneficial for building backinks
Thanks for the reply, I understand what you mean however I have two accounts on Twitter with a combined following of over 30,000 and they are all gamblers so I know the people that I'm sending to the website are exactly the kind of traffic I want just wanted to know how if at all it would help with ranking the site.Quote:

It depends what they're doing on your website. If they're spending time there, it's good. If not, than not. The risk @ social media always is that you're spending a lot of time in it and nobody clicks or many people click but do bounce. It's another type of internet surfers usually.
Thanks for that Dan, I was hoping this would be the case. The visitors from Twitter should stay on the site for a while as they will have to go there to get the free tips that are currently posted on Twitter, also they will have to visit a few different pages to collect them and hopefully they will also read some of the articles as the site is going to be very content rich.Quote:
