Default Questions about traffic for new site

HI there. I have heard of exit traffic (pop-under), PPC and referral traffic.

I have a few questions about traffic and hope I can get some advice here.

    1. What is the best source of traffic for a new site (outside search engines)?

    2. Is PPC worth it and if so, who do you suggest going with?

    3. My exit traffic can be redirected with popunders as I understand it and for every 10 I send somewhere, I get x% from someone else? Does this type traffic annoy the visitor? Who do you suggest I use for this?

Are there any other sources of traffic for a new website?

I have set aside a small budget for traffic. But with ppl paying 5 dollars for ppc this would eat the budge very quickly, so I would like to hear what other sources of traffic ppl suggest.

    Thanks !!

Well you could always try my search engine www.casinofetch.com you get a FREE $10 on signup. If you do you might want to bid a little higher (bids are not crazy high ) But with the smaller amount of traffic I receive to CasinoFetch, low bids don't do quite so well, so you'll want to be near the top.

On the other hand Overture is very good but you can burn money rather quickly, but you can find some good valued keywords for a buck or 2 a click.

    1. What is the best source of traffic for a new site (outside search engines)?

--- Link Exchanges, Posting specials on message boards, traffic exchange programs, webrings, "Top sites" lists at large sites (This is *all* I did for the first 18 months - all free and profitable, but you really have to work this.)

    2. Is PPC worth it and if so, who do you suggest going with?

--- It can be worth it if you use the right places. Overture is about the best, Goog Adwords (very difficult to maintain) is ok, some smaller PPC's are ok like Dallas' up there. There are others that are flat out not good to use, but I don't keep up with them - hopefully someone else will pop in here to add to this.

    3. My exit traffic can be redirected with popunders as I understand it and for every 10 I send somewhere, I get x% from someone else? Does this type traffic annoy the visitor? Who do you suggest I use for this?

--- www.CasinoTrade.com is probably #1 in this area; I see a lot of "Gambling Tour", and there are a couple of new ones out. Does it annoy the visitor? Probably, but it's also effective enough to use it.

    thank you slycin and dallas.

I will follow up on the popunder system and read more about ppc. The main concern is the cost. bidding $1 a hit will mean I can quickly burn through $500 and not get a single visitor to signup.

Does anyone have some rough statistics of the % uniques from popunder and ppc that actually signup? It would be helpful to know if my budget is in the range or if I should look elsewhere.

Slycin, can you elaborate more on Webrings, Top Sites, etc for a newb? Where can I signup for a gambling webring and Top Sites list?

Is it possible to sign up for 2 traffic exchanges simutaneously? Thereby each visitor who leaves my site gets 2 popunders and I have more coming to me that way as well?

Probably an ignorant question to those who understand it, but I am not sure how it all works. Not sure yet, that is

Its probably not a good idea to spawn multiple windows when a visitor leaves your site - in my opinion it is annoying for the visitor and makes them less likely to return to your site. Customer loyalty is what you need to work on, life becomes a lot easier when visitors return to your site as they find it informative and enjoyable rather than working on getting one off hits

GamblersBliss here runs a gambling webring, and Gambling.com used to - I don't know if they still do.

Make sure you get listed at all the big gambling sites like Gambling.com, etc.

On the PPC's - you don't need to bid on $1 terms - find cheaper terms to bid on.

Do you realy think it can get you good traffic? What big gambling site you know?
As for Gambling.Com, one of my sites have first position in one part of links, but it get me 1 visitors in three days. It is too low, that it can be mentioned as a way of getting traffic.
