Default Referback not paying and stopped replying to emails

    Hello,

I have been an affiliate of Referback's for quite a few years and they have always been good about paying, but I have recenty run into two serious problems with them.

    1) They owe me over $2,500 in commissions from the end of 2006. I had been away for the first half of 2007, so I didn't start writing to them about it until about July of this year. Their first response was to have me fill out a document and fax it to them. Nothing has been done about it since even thought I have written them a number of emails. After the first two or three emails, they stopped replying to me altogether.

    2) The last two checks I did receive from them in 2006 were in Euros. My bank won't accept them so I asked Referback if I could send them back and have them replaced by a check in US dollars. I have sent them several emails about this and they never reply.

In my last email to Cobus, my affiliate manager at Referback, I told him I didn't want to report this situation with Referback at the affiliate forums, but I would if I had to. That was several weeks ago and he still hasn't replied.

I understand Referback has changed hands. Maybe the new owners are not as reputable as the original ones.

I hope this will serve as a warning to other affiliates.

    Thank you,
    Gail

    Hi Gail,

I'd be happy to follow up with the GPWA ReferBack contact (Shane) and have him check in with Cobus about your account. It sounds like something that can be easily resolved.

For assistance follow-up, you can email Cobus or Shane directly and CC me (steven@gpwa.org) or if you'd prefer you can send me details about your situation at my gpwa email or via GPWA private message and I'll send a message on your behalf. If you send me details for me to send a message, please make sure to include your affiliate ID so I can note which account the message is about.

    Best Regards,
    Steven

    no offense meant towards Gail,

as I have issues with poor bottom line with RB .... which I haven't in the past.

but i feel it fair to point out ... this is Gail's first post. and I personally find it odd that this is a first post.

where have you been G? seems that you just came in to bash RB. and again I say i have issues with being such a long time aff and seeing such poor bottom line as i have over 7 yrs gained a following and some players accumulated.

but being your first post ... I gotta question ..... what kind of set up you had with them? and why you've not ever posted until this?

please appreciate this should be questioned .... and that I too have issues with RB .... so its not like I'm totally questioning you .... just that i think my question has merit.

    ps.

I hope to see more of your posts ... and not just a one time or seldom contribution to the forum.

    Exclamation

    Hi there Gail,

I would like to apologise that you feel we have ignored you. Could you please check your spam filters as the last email sent to you in this regard from Cobus was last week.

'Their first response was to have me fill out a document and fax it to them.'

The document he sent is a necessary legal document; it is required by our financial processor to action the cancelling of the Euro checks. Since the checks are legally your property we cannot cancel them until you officially authorise us to do so.

'My bank won't accept them so I asked Referback if I could send them back and have them replaced by a check in US dollars'

Once these are cancelled we will be able to process your monies due to you in the currency of your choice.

The other information we need from you is a postal address, the current address on record is a PO Box address and we cannot send a courier check to a PO Box.

Once we have authorisation to cancel your previous checks and have a postal address to which we can courier your new checks we will get your payment processed.

As both Cobus and I will be in leaving for Barcelona tomorrow can you please send you information in this regard to:
Wayne will be in Cape Town and will be checking both his email and GPWA pm's daily for your info so that he can assist you with this immediately.

    Best wishes,
    Shane

Felt I had to post something here to give a bit of balance on RB. I have been using these guys for many years, and I have only good feedback. Their sites aren't the best at converting your traffic (I would say Playtech programs are more agressive on this front), but once you get players, they really look after them and the repeat business is second to none. I have never had a problem with getting hold of someone and I always get my paycheck

    Default Update

    Hi,

Things are going great with the missing checks. Cobus and Wayne are working on getting them to me. It appears the emails Cobus sent me went to my spam filter and I never saw them, which explains why I thought he was not replying to my requests for help anymore. Thanks to Cobus and Wayne for your help on this.

Default Referback and my manager are wonderful

    Hello,

This is an update to my original post in this thread regarding my not receiving a check from Referback.

It all turned out great. The problem turned out to be that I had updated my mailing address to a P.O. Box and Referback couldn't mail checks to it. Then Cobus was sending me replies to my email requests for the check that went into my spam filter and I never saw them.

Cobus is my Referback affiliate manager and he jumped through hoops for me on this. I received the check for the full amount two days ago.

I think Cobus and Referback are great and I'd recommend anyone here to be an affiliate.

    Many thanks Referback & Cobus!

    Gail

Yes, refer back is a really good program. Never had any issues with them at all!

They don't convert very well because they are so widely promoted but love the casinos!

I can certainly understand bvigorda's reason for joining here as a way to seek out help where they felt they were getting nowhere with Referback. Unfortunately it was done in a poor manner by coming in and making their very first post as a bash against Referback. I think it would have been more professional and helpful to come in and ask for another contact or management person to contact if they felt they were not getting anywhere with their rep.

I am extremely impressed with Shane from Referback in regards to his professional handling of the situation. It appears he really did care about resolving this issue and keeping the affiliate happy and satisfied. Kudos to Shane!

It is great that bvigorda followed-up to let us know the errors that caused Referback to look bad, which was obviously out of their control. There is no doubt that you have to add these affiliate rep's emails to your address book or else many of the emails (if not all) will go to the spam.

Glad to see it was a happy ending!!
