I recently was contacted by a program which has been in aff sights for breaking T&Cs.
They wanted me to start promoting them. I wrote back no thanks that I had heard of their actions towards affs and wanted nothing to do with them.
If you don't take time out to do this kind of stuff it greatly hinders getting the message across because this is stuff that cannot be measured on paper yet greatly impacts things.
thanks for coming in.
Been doing that for a good while. It's funny how so many will not reply back, they just accept they suck and leave you alone. Then there are the "other ones"...
I also think that's a good suggestion.
Of course what you are talking about are NO-NO-Programs but say for instance the program is quite decent but there is a specific aspect you do not particularly like. Maybe by pointing that out as the reason for your refusal you could make them think twice and maybe come up with a solution.
Btw, what do you reckon by "the other ones" Chips?
Well, some will pester you to the point of ire. You know the Middle Eastern programs that do not understand the word NO, no matter what you say.
Then, there are the ones that take to heart your concerns and actually make changes to be affiliate friendly.
It just gets old when the same program pesters you over and over for months on end. Or, the ones that hit you with a different rep daily, really poor communications there.
Some programs will never get the hint, back in the day as an advertiser, I had one program call me ever 2nd-3rd day. It used to get on my nerves.. at 2am? Really? Am I not going to be pissy at a 2am phone call - a guy as ugly as me needs all the beauty sleep he can get!
Thanks Chips.
That's actually what I was talking about. At least that's what we've always tried to do at WJ.Quote:

I agree here - maybe it would be a good idea to have a page per affiliate programme with a feedback section. This feedback would have to be monitored into sections like (for example), slow/fast monthly commission payments, great/terrible conversion, good/bad back-end reports, fast/slow responses from AMs - that kind of thing. Like positives and negatives.Quote:

What do you think?
Isn't that what the forums are for?Quote:

I agree Renee but there should be a place where it's properly documented to provide instant feedback for affiliates. It would be nice to see summaries because information is everywhere and normally the bad stuff.Quote:

Sure, but I think something like that would need to be moderated.Quote:

That's the part I think is hard with stuff like that.
