Remembering Allan Leonard: APCW Perspectives Weekly for August 6th, 2010

This past week, the online gambling industry lost one of it's best. Allan Leonard, affectionately known as the "Captain", was a well respected and loved member of the affiliate community. His passing was a horrible end for a man who spent his life blessing others with kindness. He will be greatly missed, especially by his many friends in this business.

J Todd and team, I must say, this is just a beautiful tribute to Allan and his family. Thank you for doing this. I did not have the pleasure of knowing him personally, but I only heard the best from our mutual industry friends, and I adore him just based on the videos that were included in this edition of Perspectives Weekly.

My sincerest thanks to the Perspectives team for producing such a fitting and moving tribute to this wonderful man whom I never met, but his presence in this forum always brought some warmth which we will miss in the future.

I watched this video on Saturday morning and absolutely cried my eyes out. My other half couldn't believe I was crying so much over someone I had never met.

The Internet is an amazing place. You can meet people online and not in person that become your best friends. I think it would be very easy for someone not to fully understand who isn't involved with people online as much as we are.

The videos you put in there of Allan with his parrot really made me laugh J, and made me cry all the more harder. I still can't believe I'll never see another of those videos.

We want to thank everyone for their kind words. This video was difficult for JTodd to make, but he felt is was necessary. I am proud of his efforts and the community's generosity which has already raised over $5000 for Patty.

I am glad we can all come together when it matters most.

Please accept my apologies for my ignorance on this as I have no knowledge of Allan. However after watching a truly moving tribute by Jay and the APCW and reading the subsequent comments I feel devestated that I never benefited from knowing someone who obviously was was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable.
