Angry Roxy Affiliates Sponsorship Suspended (Resolved - Now Reinstated)

Over the past day we have had some additional interactions with Roxy Affiliates concerning the closing of affiliate accounts. Our communications have been limited, and not with the individuals within Roxy Affiliates that we feel are in the greatest position to be responsive to affiliates. However, we view that the interactions we have had over the past day are not consistent with our expectations based on the email exchanges and conference call we previously held with the Roxy team.

The recent interactions, which took place this morning, indicate that a further decision has been made to not reopen some of the accounts for which reconsideration was requested. In light of this development, we don't feel the spirit of our prior discussions with Roxy Affiliates are being honored in the way we anticipated.

Accordingly, I have made a decision to suspend Roxy Affiliates as a GPWA sponsor with immediate effect. We remain committed to continued communication and discussion with Roxy Affiliates in an effort to reach a better resolution of the current situation.

Well done to GPWA, finally, and to all the other affiliates who exerted the pressure to force the decision. Shows what can happen when affiliates stick together. Maybe we should call this uprising the 'affiliate spring'.

A little late and after AGD and others do this...

GPWA should be a leader not a follower and act on pressure.

Now the Roxy are done, what about stanjames? GPWA will wait for other forums community's to act also?

Please note: I respect the GPWA work, so my words are not depreciative. Instead.. are a wake up call...

Glad to see the GPWA taking action.

I also agree with Pmig. Stan James should be suspended also for the same reasons.

I'm pleased to be able to say that the discussions we have had with Roxy Affiliates over the past month have yielded positive results. Roxy Affiliates has announced earlier today that they are reviewing and reopening closed accounts. You can see their full announcement and my comments in the following thread:

Over the past month we have been in communication with all affiliates we are aware of that had their account with Roxy closed due to inactivity. In each case the affiliate has confirmed to us that their account was reopened.

Also, over the past month Affiliate Guard Dog removed the rogue status of Roxy, and changed their status to once again be a certified program with the qualification of a low revenue share warning.

Previously, in discussions with Roxy, we agreed that if they addressed this issues that lead to their suspension from the GPWA, that the suspension on that basis would be lifted.

Accordingly, our plan is to lift the suspension at the end of this week.

If anyone is aware of the closure of any Roxy affiliate account due to inactivity that has not already been reported to us or already reopened, please have the affiliate contact me via pm or please provide me with the affiliate's information so I can contact them. I want to make sure their are no known issues outstanding at the time of reinstatement.

    Thank you.

I have waited nearly 10 months. 10 months is a sign of big patience.

After 295 days it's time to draw a summary, because Roxy is not a wood sponsor. They are Platinum, and Platinum sponsors have special importance for GPWA members but also for the public.

Transparency is one of the few ways to keep truths alive, and nobody should have problems with transparency.

    Positive summery after 295 days

Roxy obtained the virtue of humility which is certainly far better than any exterior success. At first glance there are no new complaints.

    On the contrary:

No more posts were written by Sergej into the thread, which leads me to conclude that no problems occured.

Roxy is using the streamlined "Last-Click" version with a cookie duration of 30 days. That's a good thing.

A new beginning - failed to take advantage of this chance

It would have been nice to see, how this new beginning is accompanied by jumping over the own shadow.
But after reading Roxy's profile page (https://www.gpwa.org/affiliate-program/roxy-affiliates) today, I am dismayed.

I really don't understand, why you, dear Ladies and Gentlemen from Roxy, still use an activity quota!

"If your account has been inactive, meaning you have not delivered any new depositing players, for more than 3 consecutive months Roxy Affiliates reserve the right to lower your commission to a minimum threshold of 10%."

You are in a special situation! Do you see the mental connections between closing accounts and activity quotas? Don't underestimate inner cinema!

I do think the activity quota was an unfortunate choice. It's not a bad idea to think over it. You can only win. You see on Sergej's example, that some webmasters will donate a 2nd chance.

My general opinion is, that quotas are a disease, infecting slowly but surely large parts of the casino affiliate industry.

    Without any need!

    Greetings from Germany
