Default Rumors swirl over possible Victory Poker move

Victory Poker, which moved from the Everleaf Network to the Cake Network only six months ago, is rumored to be on the move again. This time the room would be moving from the Cake Network to the CEREUS Network. The CEREUS Network, as many of you know, is currently comprised of UB.com and Absolute Poker.

    RakeTheRake has the scoop:

RakeTheRake can today exclusively reveal that Victory Poker will be leaving the Cake Network and joining The Cereus Poker Network in a deal that is nearing completion and will be announced formally soon...

Poker pros Antonio Esfandiari, Lee Markholt, Paul Wasica and Andrew Robl are just some of the 20 pros at Victory Poker who will be making the move to Cereus.

They are bouncing around like a pinball. Glad I never started promoting them, re-writing reviews for network changes is one of my least favorite tasks. Reckon how long they will remain there before moving to "greener pastures"? They should have done their homework on Everleaf and never started there. A move from Cake is not a bad idea, the liquidity there has plummeted after losing Poker Host, Sportsbook, Players Only and Doyles.

I guess with UB's big names leaving they are looking for ways to attract more liquidity through skins.

I never promoted them either, but a move to CEREUS is kind of interesting. I didn't they would ever take on more skins, thought they would keep it UB and AP. I hope they open up their affiliate marketing then. They have such strange rules their like 1 account only earns rev and 1 account only can receive rakeback blah blah blah. If they start taking on more rooms they are going to have to change that.

Here is latest from them. email dated Friday, March 25, 2011 3:41 PM

    Code:
    Dear Affiliate,

We’ve made a change to our rakeback account policy that affects players signing up for a second CEREUS Poker Network account (either at Absolute Poker or UB.com) on or after March 25th, 2011.

As of today, only the first account created on the CEREUS Poker Network can be a rakeback account. A second account created on or after March 25th, 2011 will no longer be eligible for rakeback.

AFFECTED PLAYERS – For example, if a player already has an Absolute Poker account that was created in 2010 and they attempt to create a UB account as of today, the UB account will not be eligible for rakeback – regardless of whether or not their first account offered rakeback.

NON-AFFECTED PLAYERS – Players with two existing CEREUS Poker Network rakeback accounts that were created on or before March 25th, 2011 are not affected by the change.

Once again, your existing players with two CEREUS Poker Network rakeback accounts are not affected by our new policy. Players are still allowed two CEREUS Poker Network accounts – one Absolute Poker and one UB.com.

I think that this is a good move for Cereus. Diversification is never a bad thing, and putting all of your eggs in 1 (or 2) baskets is never a good thing.

maybe a good move for victory poker to move to a bigger network but it seems online poker in US markets are a bit unstable right now unless you are pokerstars or fultilt poker
