Default SEO for Blogs - Are there different techniques used for HTML pages than to a blog?

    Hi Guys.

I know there are loads of SEO post within the Forum but im wanting to know if SEO for Blogs(WordPress) are different.. Iv just currently changed one of my sites to a WordPress platform
    ThePokerFloor.com

I have been playing around with the tags and categories. Do these work the same as Meta Tags would?

How can I test to see if the SEO I have done is working well!

All your help would be mostly appreciated.<o></o>

I like the design - very clean

Yes, Wordpress acts differently although the basics are the same. Your biggest issues include duplicate content as much stuff appears on different pages (archives, cats, tag pages, index etc). Also I notice you are using a "free theme" which means you have links at the botom that could damage your rankings.

I've written up some more on my Wordpress SEO pages.

You should find poker related blogroll friends, they improve your ranking if the sites are rock.
