Sharing My Link Building Strategy for iGaming SEO Clients

Hi , I’m new here (even though I created this account a while ago, I haven’t been very active). Today I want to share the Link Building Strategy that my firm - iBETSEO, implements for iGaming SEO clients (Mostly Southeast Asia).

I hope this post can provide value to fellow SEOs and affiliates in the forum.

Warning: this will be a long post:joy::joy::joy:

This is the exact link building framework I’ve developed and refined8-)
Every stage — Foundation → Authority → Dominance — is engineered around one core principle:

Don’t just build links. Build presence.

We don’t chase DR. We build brand trust, search movement, and long-term SERP share in one of the most penalty-prone industries on the internet.

If you’re serious about iGaming SEO, I hope this gives you a clearer roadmap to follow — or at least a benchmark to compare your current efforts.

Stage 1 (Month 0–2): FOUNDATION

Objective: Make Google see you as a real entity before scaling links. Build brand demand.

Pre-Link Building (Week 0)

• Core pages: Home, About, Contact, T&Cs, Privacy, Responsible Gambling
• Schema: Organization, WebSite, Breadcrumb, FAQ, AggregateRating (if legit)
• NAP: Consistent brand (“22FUN”), neutral business category, compliant address/country

Link Types & Volumes (Monthly)

• Social Profiles: 30–50 (traffic-first platforms, 2–3/day, unique titles/bios, NAP, homepage URL)
• Citations / Business Profiles: 10–20 safe/global (Crunchbase, About.me, startup directories)
• Web 2.0 Hubs: 5–10 mini-sites (Home 700–1,000w + 3 blog posts × 400–600w)
• Google Stack: 1 full set per month (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites, My Maps interlinked)
• Doc/Image Shares: 5–10 uploads (Slideshare, Scribd, Issuu, Imgur, Pinterest)
• Brand Mentions: 20–40 indexed mentions (Reddit, Quora, WP blog comments, YouTube descriptions)

Anchor Plan

• Branded: 60–70%
• Naked URL: 20–30%
• Generic: ~10%
• Exact-match: 0%

Velocity

• 2–3 socials/day
• 1 Web2 every 3 days
• 1 Google Stack weekly
• 3–5 mentions/day across warmed identities

SOPs Example – Social Profile

• Title: 22FUN — Online Casino & Slots in Thailand
• Bio: 22FUN is Thailand’s trusted online casino for slots & live games. Fast THB deposits, mobile-first UX, responsible play. Play at 22FUN.app
• Include NAP + 3 unique bio variants with geo/NLP terms

KPI Gates (End of Stage 1)

• GSC branded impressions baseline
• 8+/10 social profiles indexed
• 5 Web2s indexed
• Google Site indexed
• Ahrefs DR ~10–20

Stage 2 (Month 3–6): EARLY AUTHORITY

Objective: Start controlled Tier-1 editorials, expand topical/entity coverage, and add trust layers.

Link Types & Volumes (Monthly)

• Guest Posts: 5–12/mo (iGaming, fintech, UX, SEA travel/entertainment blogs with ≥500 traffic)
• Niche Edits: 3–8/mo (aged, indexed content with topical fit)
• Web 2.0 Expansion: 8–12 posts or 5–10 new hubs (Slots, Bonuses, Payments silos)
• Syndication & Parasite SEO: 4–8/mo (Medium, Tealfeed, LinkedIn Articles, DEV.to, Vocal)
• Brand Mentions: 40–80/mo (Reddit, Quora, blog comments, YouTube descriptions)
• CloudStack: 1–2 full sets per month
• Bio Profiles: 5–10 monthly (About.me, Behance, Crunchbase)
• Blog Comments: 20–30/mo (relevant niche blogs)
• .GOV/.EDU Links: 1–2/mo (forums, event listings, public data contributions)
• Google Scholar: 1–2 PDFs (research reports, payout case studies)
• Google Groups: 2–4 branded replies/mo (neutral, non-anchor rich)
• Google Colab: 2–5 notebooks/mo (interactive data posts comparing bonuses/payouts)

Anchor Plan by Target

• Homepage: 70% brand | 20% naked URL | 10% generic | 0% exact match
• Pillar Pages: 50% brand/URL | 35–45% partial-match | ≤5% exact match (max 1 exact per pillar/month)

KPI Gates (End of Stage 2)

• 50–100 referring domains total
• 15–30 editorial / Tier-1 links indexed
• 3–5 Web2 silo hubs live and indexed
• Brand queries growing in GSC
• 2–4 pillar pages ranking in Top 20

Stage 3 (Month 7–12): AUTHORITY & DOMINANCE

Objective: Win clusters, harden SERP share, stabilize with brand demand.

Monthly Link Mix

• Guest Posts: 10–18/mo (DR 30–70, traffic-led, listicles, interviews)
• Niche Edits: 5/mo (on ranking pages, replacing weak links)
• Parasite SEO: 6–10/mo (let some rank, feed traffic back)
• Brand Mentions: 100+/mo (across communities)
• Optional Tier-2: 30–60/mo (supporting top 10% of Tier-1s)

Topical Expansion

• New silos: mobile slots, live dealer, payments, bonuses/VIP, RG, legality & consumer protection
• Location mini-hubs: /th/, /vn/, city pages (with disclaimers & compliance)

Linkable Assets to Publish Monthly

• THB Payment Speed Index
• RTP Explainer + Calculator
• Responsible Gambling Guide (Thai/VN)
• UX teardown: Mobile casino usability in Thailand

KPI Gates (End of Stage 3)

• 150–250 referring domains
• 30–60 quality editorials
• 6–10 money pages on page 1–2
• Branded queries 2–5× Stage 1
• Steady GSC clicks growth

Bonus Layers (I only apply this for big project)

Tier-2 Link Building (Support Layer)

• 30–60 Tier-2s/mo
• 3–5 Tier-2s per top Tier-1 post
• Link types: bookmarks, Web2s, doc shares, forum profiles, expired Web2s
• Anchors: brand, URL, generic only (no keyword-rich)

Social Care SOP (Daily Maintenance Layer)

• Reactivate 2–3 social profiles daily
• Post 1 short-form update on Web2s
• Reply/comment on Reddit, Quora, YouTube
• Reindex 2–3 aged Web2s via GSC or pingers
• Share 1 Tier-1 link via LinkedIn/Twitter/Medium

If you’ve got any questions, or just want to chat about link building in iGaming, feel free to ask me here. Always happy to share and learn from others too.

For clients with essentially no budget constraints

Good question! With clients who don’t have budget limits, the main difference is speed and scale.
I still start with the same foundation (socials, Web2s, brand mentions) so Google sees the entity as “real.” But instead of waiting months, we can roll out high-traffic guest posts, niche edits, and PR features almost immediately, then reinforce them with Tier-2 support.
The key is not to brute-force it with hundreds of links at once — velocity and anchor ratios still matter. The roadmap is the same, we just accelerate each stage and add branded PR/data assets much earlier.8-)

Have you honestly split test these to see if they give any results at all:
- Cloud stacks
- Google stacks
- Web 2.0's (thought it was 5+ years since these worked?)

Wow, that’s a very good question.

To be clear — I don’t treat Cloud stacks, Google stacks, or Web 2.0s as primary ranking factors. Especially in iGaming, you can’t rely on one trick.

The competition is too heavy and the industry is too sensitive — so we need to optimize everything at an excellent level (site structure, content, anchors, compliance, brand signals).

That said, I still use stacks and Web 2.0s as support layers:

• They help with indexing, entity building, and brand presence.
• They’re safe, controllable, and provide context when you scale into stronger Tier-1 links.
• When combined with branded mentions and editorial placements, they still bring value even in 2025.

So for me, they’re not “the thing that ranks you” — but part of the system that makes your authority links stick and keeps the entity alive long-term.

Igaming Seo, and you just copied and pasted a chat gpt plan sounds shady

IMO - That whole setup is complete nonsense, foggy, useless and made to trick clients into seo agency contracts.

I checked the website in the thread posters signature, it screams shady all the way to Texas

This is one point. Trust. If someone offers to cutting my hedge, mow my lawn and i agree 100 for the work, its easy to see result.

In SEO ... not! Even if progress is visible, it can be my previous work, an update, luck ...
In such an environment, trust is crucial. And if you come across such BS proposals AND you have a look at his site and you find dummy content, contact information like info @ domainname.com ... dummy logos (footer) and so on, ...

Lol. If you can actually quote the part where I said I’m selling services, please do. The title literally says sharing—that should’ve been the first clue. But I get it, some people just skim a post and jump straight into proving how smart they are.

I’m not here to pitch or sell anything. I’m sharing my experience so others can learn, test, and maybe even challenge it with their own results. That’s the point of a forum like this.

Read carefully, don’t just scan. Otherwise, you’re only proving that you missed the actual value of the post.
